The existing expansion for Black Sonata (Fair Youth) isn’t actually all that easy to find. So, with regards to Black Sonata campaign, I think getting the expansions, at least, is worth it
Euthia backed
It is an excellent game! I am a lifelong Mage Knight enjoyer and Euthia feels like it takes the overworld adventure genre into the final level, with tons of innovative mechanics such as the action tokens and "bad luck compensation die".
I am skipping, but only because a friend has it and the cost is unfortunately too steep. It is an easy recommend though, if you can afford it!
@@GrandElemental I feel that Mage Knight is somehow euro-like-adventure where you have to calculate and optimize each move while Euthia is a more Ameri-like-adventure game where you can feel more freedom and focus on an adventure instead optimize everything.
Loved games like Runebound and Talisman because of this sandbox feeling and I can't wait to try Euthia!
@@michal4736I will say that if you play the game VS, as originally designed, it's just as much a euro optimization puzzle as Mage Knight. I do enjoy the reduction of "luck" using the tokens more than MKs draw and pray system.

Children of Mortal is huge Hype! Granted I’m a big fan of the IP and video game, but I’ve seen a lot of content on the board game and am totally planning to go all in.

One Hit Heroes looks really cool. I appreciate the review on this
I really like the Canvas 3 boxes, especially how they look on the wall. A big box might be nice for storage but I can't imagine hanging it. The new cards might be nice but I'll pass thanks to shipping. Overall, I am most interested in 20 Strong. No backs for me this week.
The big box isn't meant for hanging I think. It makes it easier to table and store the game?

Slightly annoyed they released they announced the Canvas Big Box Complete Collection before the previous campaign with the third expansion even delivered. They should have included the Big Box solution in the previous campaign. Shipping isn't cheap.
Where are you located? I received my pledge from that campaign months ago. I'm in the US.
Alex - What is your definition of retail? To me, it is anything that is available in a storefront that is regularly restocked. It sounds like your definition is anything that is available in mass or niche market retail. Target and B&N would be mass market retail and Miniature Market would be niche market. I would argue that CTG, Mindclash, Steamforge, etc Web Stores are still retail, they typically offer a lesser (not deluxe or crowdfund exclusive) version of their games at all times. That means regular availability of the game "retail", but I will not find their games in mass market retailers. I think in many people's minds it is either only available in crowdfunding (copies purchased as part of the campaign and resold) or available after the campaign (retail) that are reprinted and restocked to make their decision. Just curious how you see the terms.

That AI generated CCG looks so bad.. I can't believe how much it raised. I think it's mostly people who hope the game is successful and the price of the cards will increase dramatically. That's why there's a lot of $1000+ pledges. It's not something for normal people.
The sad thing is the gameplay is actually really great. But the presentation of the Kickstarter is AI art pump and dump TCG

I was very interested in one hit hero until I saw that they had a $1 pre-order pre-pledge. I'm not going to back a campaign that uses that.

Fractured Sky- they completely disrespect their first backers! This is a reprint of their first campaign with this small expansion for the price of the previous campaign xD. All guys who supported them then, now have to pay extra, for the shipping if they want only the expansion

Without our king look very interesting but damn...I can't find any video about the gameplay, commentary, or marketing. Just a campaign page with a wall of text and several images, that's all. I don't like this kind of selling a product.
Agreed. I'm definitely sympathetic to creators who either don't know the hoops to jump through, or just can't. But it still makes it harder to back.
Gamefound CMO. Brother. Friend. I'm calling you out. I'm calling out Gamefound. I'll even put my $ where my mouth is. I want a video for what Gamefound does to support the industry. How does Gamefound support crowd funding. Crowd funding means people backing creators, not creators exploiting backers, i.e. stretch pay. Since Boardgameco is balancing this. How does Gamefound CREATE MORE backers, i.e. not EXPLOITING the industry for $. Let me know what this video will cost and i'll consider. Thanks for all of your content.
I don't understand the question at all...if you're against stretch goals, then you might just have a fundamental problem with crowdfunding in general.
@@BoardGameCo Sorry, stretch pay. Gamefound seems most excellent for creators. Your previous video as a direct comparison has many examples like this. But things like requiring end dates, and communication. What does Gamefound do for backers besides try to increase spend. BoardGameCo for example does awesome by trying to guess at whether an investment would hold. What is the Gamefound equivalent?
