  • They are one of the most polarizing teams in the NHL. I love them. Many hate them. Today I delve into the history of the Boston Bruins and present it with as much unbiased discussion as possible. So settle in for a video that is just over thirty minutes in length.

    This is such a big year for bergy. 1000pts and so many playoff records in reach for him.
    I started watching in 02 and to watch Patrice and Brad and Chara lead the team the last 20 years has been a roller coaster to say the least but I wouldnt have it any other way. (Maybe Joe and Sammy win a Cup)

    The Rangers are in no way better than the Bruins historically. The Bruins have two more cups, 9 more Finals appearances, have made the playoffs 12 more times, have missed the playoffs 11 fewer times (not including this season), and have 724 more all time regular season points, the equivalent of 362 wins. I don't think losing in the Finals more makes them a worse team than one that got to the Finals much less often. New York missed the playoffs all but six years from 1943 to 1966, then every year from 1998 to 2004. The Bruins have had some bad skids too, but not as bad as the Rangers did for nearly 25 years.
    edit: My bad Shannon, I wrote all this before I saw the part where you looked up the Rangers all time record.

    You have to put Boston ahead of the Rangers. Toronto is harder because they have 13 Stanley Cups, but Boston has been the better franchise for over 40 years.

    so the "Yotes" being easy and quick, that means you do not include their time as the original Winnipeg Jets that started in the WHA and plucked Bobby Hull from Chicago and won 3? WHA Championships... before merging into the NHL in 1979? ...

    Over the years I think refs should get a little roughed up sometimes, remind them that they are not the stars of the show.

    Nothing personal, but my dislike for the Bruins mostly stems from their fans. I respect the storied history and some of the players on the roster (like Orr and Bergeron), but I cannot bring myself to like a team whose fans behave like ruffians and entitled pricks. Passion and loyalty is no excuse for such behaviour, and nobody likes being ridiculed or insulted for their support. I only wish there were more classier Bruins fans (like yourself) out there.

    I know it's THG's fav team along with Vancouver, why I am watching this, but I absolutely hate The Bruins. Montreal, Ottawa, Pittsburgh among others I can't stand. The Bruins I hate them. Orr should have been a Leaf. LOL, I enjoyed the video tho, alot of new and entertaining facts. Cheers

    Even ranger fans dont think they are more successfull then the bruins. U really have a skewered view of history. If anything the bruins arecthe dodgers...6 championships and 20 championship appearences while the rangers are basically the phillies

    • @TheHockeyGuy

      6-13 in the Finals before this season is not a great record. The Bruins had a lot of dark times which I will go over when I revisit this series over the summer.

    • @scottaznavourian5791
      @scottaznavourian5791 5 лет назад +1

      @@TheHockeyGuy thats why i said their record is like the dodgers. But the rangers have half as many championships and not nearly as many finals apoearences. Also they seem content with 1994 and so do thier fans and that shit will never fly in boston. As for dark times they made the payoffs roughly 80 peecent of the time theyve existed. As a redsox fan that percentage is about 15 percent. The bruins big problem historically is they can get the fucking canadiens out of their heads.

  • @scottaznavourian5791
    @scottaznavourian5791 5 лет назад

    The buins won 6 cups from 1929 to 20011. Thats more world series then the redsox won from 1901 to 2004
