Great video, it does not matter how small you put towards your savings goals, what matters is that you put it away and keep doing it… As I always say” Rome wasn’t built in a day” keep doing what you’re doing and you will get there

Great breakdown! Credit One is super predatory! Hope you can pay it off and close that account. Just looking at the card will add additional fees. Lol

New subbie here! I love that you also post crochet videos as I haven't crochet in over 3 years since being busy with kiddos but I do wanna start again as it's a good therapy for me! 🥰 I will check out your other videos as well!

One point I want to make on this video is don’t focus on no one else’s low income budget.. this will
    Vary based on family size
Also if you are low income and it’s less then 25k a year . Your emergency fund is $500 not a $1000 to start
For very low income $1000 is a lot start with half of that
Then proceed to paying off debt but if you can add something monthly that’s great

We, too, have credit. 1. I noticed that they have insurance on the card for around 9.00 monthly. That is 108 on top of what we pay. If I can not afford my card & it goes to collections, I would rather pay half at that point. Took that off real quick like. I feel the only true way to pay it off is to pay over 200 a month. Even still, they pull you back in. Once the card is paid off, we are closing the account. I'm glad you got out of debt, but sometimes it is hard to stay out. Now, these affirms are killers. Wish Us luck as well as sending you luck!

Thank you for your comment!! And yes, Credit One is awful and you’re right - making a bigger payment seems to be the only way to get ride of them. I’m ready to get it paid and close it out, as well! We’re in this together!

One thing to think about keeping the account open helps your debt to income ratio. Also keeps your credit age in tact

Not too smart to close a card - it drops your credit score. Just pay it off and stash the card away and don't use it.

Oh my gosh, yes!!! It’s too much! The card I paid off with them is the same way! Charging me $8 every month! My credit score just went up so, I’m afraid to close it and my score drops again 😢

@SingleMomBudgeting use credit karma to apply for a credit card with no annual and outstanding odds. Upon approval, you can cancel. Your credit will dip due to the soft inquiry and the closing of an account. but it will go back up relatively quickly

Why are you putting anything in HYSA when you have the Credit One debt? Get rid of the freakin debt that has interest. You'll be in debt forever with credit cards. You don't need ANY music suscription if you have debt. Pay off the debt first.

Because I’m able to 🤷‍♀️ I have additional income to put in there. I also want to have something in the event of an emergency. If I do it your way, an emergency comes up and I have nothing put aside. My credit one card is my last current debt

Ditch the allowance, ditch the haircuts and cut your own hair. You're going nowhere fast with that budget.
