Sheila: If this isn't the right video, please let us know. We couldn't seem to find a Campbell/Reed combo for this song. Could just be that we're dumb though. - Keith
It was the right one. Glen was playing acoustic and Steve Hardin played harmonica. And of course Jerry was on electric. Glad you liked the song. Really sorry about the rye. The only thing I know about bourbon is what I’ve learned from y’all. And at least I know now don’t ever get that for anyone else. lol
I am so glad someone sent you a Glen Campbell! I sent you one too but I know it's way down the list. So happy you didn't have to wait for it. This was a good one Shelia! I saw Glen and Ray Stevens in concert when I was a kid. I am sad to say I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have at the time.
Glen Campbell was one of the greatest sessions musicians of the LA scene in the 60'sand 70's. He was the guitarist on Hello Mary Lou (Ricky Nelson), Danke Shoen (Wayne Newton), Surf CIty (the beach Boys), You lost that loving Feeling (the righteous Brothers), Mary, Mary (the Monkees), Strangers in the Night (Frank Sinatra). the reason you didn't recognise him was the beard and the fact he transitioning between young and Older glen here
@1:31 Glenn Campbell of "Rhinestone Cowboy" fame was a well-known top guitarist?! Not even two minutes in and you've already learned me something, Keith. I don't remember if y'all done "Amos Moses" by Jerry -- if not, Dustin, hun, please put this on the vote tally from me...thx
Gents, I hate to say this, but Glen Campbell was playing acoustic. Steve Hardin was the harmonica player. I assume that this performance was on Glen Campbell's variety show. No guarantees, but I am fairly certain. That would mean that Glen was not there to steal Jerry Reed's thunder as he was the guest. Also, I do believe that Jerry Reed was mentored by Chet Atkins. Reed is one of of the 5 "Certified Guitar Players" as dubbed by Chet Atkins. If you follow Tommy Emmanuel, you will note that he goes as "Tommy Emmanuel, CGP". I have had the honor of seeing three of the 5 CGPs in concert, and it was pretty amazing. Great choice for a react video! Sorry bout the hooch though!
I'd love to see you do some Steve Wariner now. Superb guitarist who has played with everyone from Glen Campbell to Chet Atkins. Chet was his mentor. Some suggestions: * Opry Guitar Jam Brad Paisley Keith Urban Marty Stuart Steve Wariner Ricky Copie (Ricky Skaggs, but they have it labeled wrong on RUclips) * Tommy Emmanuel & Steve Wariner, Don't Think Twice It's Alright (Ryman) * Steve Wariner - Baby I'm Yours (Live on Nashville Now 1988) - it is always best to do Steve live * Garth Brooks & Steve Wariner - Longneck Bottle - do live version
Hey guys. The guy playing acoustic guitar was indeed Glen Campbell. Steve Hardin on harmonica and Jerry on electric. Have no idea why the title of your video as it appears on RUclips mentions Steve Wariner. Brilliant guitar player as well, but nowhere to be found in this video. Hall of Fame guitar playing on the video anyhow!!
If you haven't heard out, check out Kasey Chambers' version of Lose Yourself (Eminem). Definitely something you haven't heard before. And yes she is playing a banjo.
Unfortunately, no Steve Wariner. Steve Wariner is another guitar master to dive into. Amazing songwriter, vocalist and part of the legendary “pickers” of Country music. Steve is a guitarist called to be featured on many Artists songs, albums.
Seen that many times. But if you want to check out next level: ruclips.net/video/CZtEXI9_B80/видео.html Or this audio-only performance of Asturias ruclips.net/video/3nc7r6lirBQ/видео.html - Keith
I don't think I have previously heard anyone other than Dolly perform this song...her vocals are, understandably, more prominent than the guys are here but that's because for the guys it is to show off their playing chops, not their singing ones. 😁
Not sure how to bribe. Love watching you guys but y'all missing out on Jelly Roll. Like his performance on SNL singing Winning Streak. His song Liar and Halfway to Hell.

As someone else pointed me out, Glen's beard threw me off. - Keith
I guess you don't remember Glen Campbell with a beard, but he almost always is playing an Ovation.

Yes, that Glenn Campbell check out his version of the William Tell Overture. It is incredible.
Steve Harden didn’t play guitar. He played keyboards and harmonica Jerry Reed and Glen Campbell were playing the guitars
I live in AL. We have had highs in the forties and lows in the twenties for 2 weeks. Ya'll can take your weather back up north now please. 😂

@@BourbonCountryReacts No big deal Keith. Just trying to help with the info. Take care!

Glen Campbell and Jerry Reed on guitars. You didn't recognize Campbell because of the beard
That was Glen Campbell!!!
A great reaction.
Great preformance.
Unfortunately, no Steve Wariner.

Glen's beard probably threw you off, Keith.
Totally what happened. - Keith

I know this song has been done by a fair share of artists including Dolly Parton, but my favorite version is by the Fendermen !
You must react to Glenn Campbell Galveston with Steve Warriner please.
Hi guys could you check out The Cadillac Three "THE SOUTH " VIDEO A MUST AND JACK INGRAM "LOVE YOU " VIDEO A MUST AND BLAINE ROY "PAPER AND PEN " TY
“Earth notes” aka dirt lol.
Maybe "earthworm." - Keith
Darryl Worley POW 369 please please please react to it. You won't regret the emotions you'll get
Y'all need to do Dolly Parton's version of this song, it is way better.
Citronella, rubber, and diesel - wow. At least, the music was excellent.
I thought you were bright. After all your ma ma called you son.
Steve Harvey? Good grief…
