She hit him first. What did she think would happen? While she didn’t deserve to be called a thief, she was wrong hitting him. And she shouldn’t be shocked he hit her back.
I won’t address the issues Thomas has, because everyone is addressing them including the author of the story. I did want to add this: women don’t get a free pass on committing domestic violence. Emily hit Thomas first. His violence was a response to her’s. Yes, his blow was much worse than hers, but that is because as a male he is much stronger. That is why smart women don’t hit/slap males.
@ clearly, but only a very foolish woman would hit a man unless it was in self defense. Plus, police and DA aren’t going to prosecute a one-hit response unless something more than bruising occurs.
Such a ridiculous story, switching pronouns beyond distracting, mil NUTS, never ever should you not call the police when hit. This gives women - especially young women - the WRONG message. Then the mother makes no sense-was she not at the wedding??? How could she not know what was going on, wonders where she is- calling leaving msgs. But never thought to check her apt???? This is such a waste of time. The story line doesn't make sense
The MIL did it on purpose. She started the slapfest. That said, she was saved from her fiancé, who would not trust her in other situations, and his family. Funny she thinks it's good he is on therapy, but has nothing to say regarding her own actions.
Even if future MIL thought her future DIL stole her ring, the church on the wedding day in front of all the guests was not the place to address this issue. Ridiculous! Thomas is a jellyfish, but I can not blame him 100% because she slapped him first. Even though he resorted to a punch like the punk that he is!
Some of these stories are fine but the ones where the young woman is as strong as a wet rag is never interesting to me. Any woman who doesn’t call the police after being hit by a man is too weak and too immature to marry. I suspect the author is young and trying to write a good story but the lack of a proper foundation and research.
Both sides are at fault and they always make it seem as though the fault is one sided. His problem with his mom wasn’t new. She had a responsibility to herself to get out but she was getting in deeper.
WEll. . if you are going to hit someone, you might expect that they would want to 'return the favor'! She's all shocked that he hit her? She started it!
There is a huge difference between an open handed slap and a fisted punch to the face. Neither are acceptable; however the first is more of an insult, the other something damaging that can cause broken bones and permanent disfigurement. They are not the same.
She didn't start it-- she did not steal the ring. Her fiance's mother started it all with false accusations. An emotional slap from shock is no justification for a full-on, intentional hit. There is no justification for hitting, especially the face. That is assault!
I hate to say it but if you hit someone you should expect to get hit back. This story is full of bad behavior. Op sounds as if she trying to gloss over her own behavior.

48:27 - She took the 1st action and stapped him (48:27). He responded. Both actions were incorrrect. This is a private matter & should have been handled privately elsewhwete instead in a public business establishment.

If somebody does not want you to be a part of their family you will jever be happy but be sure your life will be a living hell.
Slap and fist are 2 different hits
A slap and a fist are 2 different hits
There's a huge difference between a woman's slap and a man's punch!
@ clearly, but only a very foolish woman would hit a man unless it was in self defense. Plus, police and DA aren’t going to prosecute a one-hit response unless something more than bruising occurs.
@@debbie7104 And women finding excuses It doesn't matter. She started it.
What is the wrong message? The fact W can start what she did but will cry DV when they have a reaction back is not a good message either.
Was her mother not at her wedding? 🤷♀️
She should have pressed charges.
Don’t know any men called Sophie it’s a girls name.
Some of these stories are fine but the ones where the young woman is as strong as a wet rag is never interesting to me. Any woman who doesn’t call the police after being hit by a man is too weak and too immature to marry. I suspect the author is young and trying to write a good story but the lack of a proper foundation and research.
Any mother in law who can control her son
No way!
@@xikum8429 not to mention the disparity in strength. He literally slugged her.
She didn't start it-- she did not steal the ring. Her fiance's mother started it all with false accusations. An emotional slap from shock is no justification for a full-on, intentional hit. There is no justification for hitting, especially the face. That is assault!
@@xikum8429Nah, she hit first. Period. Don't hit anyone if you aren't ready to be hit back. You are just arguing semantics.
Not at all, especially with a fist.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 What a hoot
Its been several days since the catastrophe on your wedding day snd its not still cancelled? What kind of story is this?
I hate to say it but if you hit someone you should expect to get hit back. This story is full of bad behavior. Op sounds as if she trying to gloss over her own behavior.
you are lucky to find out then, even on your wedding day. better then then 5 or 10 years of horror then a terrible divorce. Maybe he wanted out and the plan was to get you to be the one to back out.
To the person who couldn't understand a boss giving his employee a 6 month sebatical I must tell you it does happen. The man I was working for at the time let me take a year. He was a wonderful and generous man. I just thought I'd let you know that they do exist but they few and far between. Happy New Year to everyone. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The timeline for the cancellation makes no sense.
A marriage that was never meant to be. A finance with issues, not standing up to his mother taking her word over that of his soon to be wife. Okay story.
Emma and Emily plus Sophie lord there are so many names and all these stories have no name creativity 😂
They seem to use the popular names of celebrities and a few favorite names! They should get a dictionary of names, male and female, and just go down a list!! Go to a movies and look at the credits at the end of the movie! There are a lot of interesting names there!
AI is too busy to pick names
Why wasn't her mother at her wedding??
...shaking Thomas like a umbrella tree. I think the author is from a land far from America.
Can't even get the gender strait. She said his mother along with others.
48:27 - She took the 1st action and stapped him (48:27). He responded. Both actions were incorrrect. This is a private matter & should have been handled privately elsewhwete instead in a public business establishment.
T approached her in a public environment and she was hoping for an apology that was not forthcoming. It would be obviously unsafe for her to try and resolve matters alone with him in a private location
Why does the AI gets the pronouns wrong
Because it's not developed enough yet (probably won't be for another decade or two).
Pronoun switching is a bit annoying but not difficult to follow.
I get a good laugh out of these stupid stories. Life is not like that at all.
