The cheating isn’t a ranked issue. It’s a PC ISSUE. As long as crossplay is enabled cheaters are GOING to exist. That’s why I was so against cod doing cross play in the first place.
Banning someone literally does nothing. It’s like a fart in the wind. All they have to do is make a whole new email and then they have a new account and they’re back to cheating again. However, the fact that they’re starting to go after cheaters is at least some good news because now maybe someone will think twice before they cheat and ruin the fun for everyone else.

background info on the spam reporting detection: they say it doesn’t do anything, but it does. top cheat providers have now rolled out a “spam report” option on their platforms, which allows the user to spam report whichever player they want over 100 times with the click of a button to get them banned instead of the cheater (the user), so that’s probably why they implemented that detection system

I don't know if ink reads the entire comment section but, on IP ban, I think it was R6 Siege devs that talked about the issues that come with it. You have easy ways to get a different IP, so it would not stop the cheater, but on top of that the banned IP can then be attributed to someone else by ISP, and you have someone random being banned on their account for no good reason. Hardware ban is harder to bypass, but you still can if spend the money. And since, for R6, cheats are already quite expensive, it would not stop cheaters. It would reduce the number, and slow them down between bans, but not stop them.
IP ban would be worthless hardware ban would be better. Unless you pay for a static IP its going to chance at somepoint when the lease on that IP expires, someone else could end up with the Banned IP. You could also use a VPN to bypass it
One issue with IP bans: hypothetically you live with someone, maybe your family, maybe your brother, you probably have similar interests, you play the same games together, you both have CoD. Now, against his better judgement, your brother cheats... now he's banned, and you're being punished because you live with him... Or at least use the same internet. Now if they could just fix Steam players from getting disconnected every Tuesday...

Well, with the SBMM I think that's tied to Activision so I don't think that even if Treyarch begged for it to be removed it wouldn't because it's like if the Vice President didn't agree with what the President did, he would have some amount of power to do something but he doesn't have the power to just say no.

I've not been able to play bo6 much due to life being busy, so maybe if I'd have been playing more frequently, I'd have encountered more of these deal-breaker issues, but as it stands, I've not encountered any of these problems you speak of frequently in your videos. Remove SBMM/EOMM and revert the changes to AA we need the same AA we had back in MW3 every gunfight upclose was consistent. Now its just a big gamble. IP ban would be worthless hardware ban would be better. Unless you pay for a static IP its going to chance at somepoint when the lease on that IP expires, someone else could end up with the Banned IP. You could also use a VPN to bypass it
One issue with IP bans: hypothetically you live with someone, maybe your family, maybe your brother, you probably have similar interests, you play the same games together, you both have CoD. Now, against his better judgement, your brother cheats... now he's banned, and you're being punished because you live with him... Or at least use the same internet.
Now if they could just fix Steam players from getting disconnected every Tuesday...
i do not agree with the guilty by association take for the cheat banning. this is going to be a huge issue going forward beacuse whats to say you were invited by a friend to join a party and you have no idea who is cheating and then that person gets banned for cheating why should someone who had no idea that someone you dont even know is cheating be banned just for playing with them after joining on your friend. i also do not agree with com banning at all. this should be removed entirely.

The problem Activision devs also have is that they have mislead and sometimes outright lied to the community for such a long time, it's difficult to feel optimistic when they release statements like these. Deeds, not words will win the community back and these are just words that may or may not be acted upon based on their previous behaviour.

I really hope they will actually fix the issues. Bo6 started off so strong. It was initially one of the best CoDs I've played. Until things went to shit. My main complaint is the issue with cheaters and hackers. I quit playing a few weeks ago after being fed up with them. I kept encountering them every few games, it was MADDENING. Fix that shit, and I'll give it another go.
the servers are fine, they are throwing players into far away servers to manipulate player's hit registration and to manipulate them to stay hooked in the game by rigging latency this also has a nerfing effect on good players, they can also simulate higher or lower server pings so your bullets either feel good or like they aren't registering sometimes.

I've always been a HUGE cod player, I haven't played in about a month now. I might download the season update and play the new zombies map then go right back to playing phasmophobia. I'm just not having fun on cod anymore. I'm mad that big map is still urzikstan. Then need to fix the servers, they need to do the ban hammer on hackers. Idk if I'll even play then the og map comes back, unless they implement these fixes.
Well, with the SBMM I think that's tied to Activision so I don't think that even if Treyarch begged for it to be removed it wouldn't because it's like if the Vice President didn't agree with what the President did, he would have some amount of power to do something but he doesn't have the power to just say no.

Hey man, been following a long time now, and just wanted to say; I hope that you can either find joy in cod again, or find another play for the joy that cod once brought for you.
I've not been able to play bo6 much due to life being busy, so maybe if I'd have been playing more frequently, I'd have encountered more of these deal-breaker issues, but as it stands, I've not encountered any of these problems you speak of frequently in your videos. My experience is that when I have some spare time and energy, I'll play an hour or so, and enjoy it. I'm disappointed that hasn't been the experience for so many others, yourself included.
In 2025, I'm seeking to disconnect from as much negativity and downer mentality as I can, so as much as it sucks, this'll be the last video I watch here. I know you're saying these types of videos are done and that it's story stuff from here on, but you said that last video, which I listened to and went "man, I gotta stop watching these. I think that ALL COD studios are shook right now and I believe what they are saying because at this moment they can’t seriously think that just talking about doing something is enough. They know they need to fix things and they need to do yesterday. They potentially may have an NDA that states they cannot discus the performance of the servers as apart of their contract.
