I had a similar reaction when i discovered the MK18. First of all, i clearly saw, the damage feels and is significant higher than the 22 on paper. Then the accuracy was like...wow... i shot a sniper in a tower, around 220 meters away, during the engage in the base, with such a small aiming, such a friendly recoil and so right on point, that i had the feeling of a gun slingers fight. In general, the practical performances are better than in the paper. I have my list with most preffered weapons of mine (G2, VHSD2, HK416, 4-AC, Honey Badger, MK17, K1A, 416 Shorty, Vector Shorty ...) ,and MK18 and 516 (similar performances) definetly and strongly went on my list. Now is the time to discover this one :)

I’ve got a challenge Will! Try going for the A2 assault rifle it’s in a wolf camp called camp kodiak on driftwood islets! Hardest base in the game! Any load out, I would love to see this! Keep the episodes coming my man! 👍
I have had most success with VHSD2 with digital scope, MAWL, single/auto and angled foregrip. I use it almost exclusively in single shot mode. For sniper I use M82 for long range with VC16 sight, or for midrange I use G28 with same sight, tripod & MAWL.
The m4a1 tactical is my favorite ar for stealth, the barrel shroud on it and built in suppressor make it look dope especially in black receiver and upper, then all attachments in gold looks really good
The trick to get above 250 is you can only get stuff above two at a elite faction mission location. I'm only 251 because some of the 252 has not been an improvement.
Hey use the grenade launcher attachment for when reinforcements are called in and target the vehicle before they get out to eliminate the reinforcements thats what i do. It also good for heavies and drones on wheels.
I like the fact that the Bren is 7.62. Means I can round with a Stoner and lot’s of ammo for both! If your hit by a 7.62 in real life, you don’t get up (from real world experience using a L1A1 SLR)
Having all three save slots with a level 252 character, with all classes on all .......I have used every assault rifle in the game. There is much more than pure damage, stability, accuracy, lack of recoil all contribute to overall enjoyment of a weapon . The 805 Bren is pick of the litter. The Vector Shorty is best SMG The Stoner overall is the best LMG although the MK48 has its perks. The TAC 50 is the best sniper......if you like that, I never use it much as enemies hide. Best DMR.......I dunno, several really good ones hard to pick one. Never use them much either. Best shotgun is the M4......slow to reload though. It will however knock them out of their shoes. My favorite class is assault,(more health my favorite loadout is the 805 Bren with the Stoner for when stealth goes out the window and the 1911 for when you are limping around about to die..........love its fire rate. Best perks......ballistic advantage, slim shadow, and the one that improves health regen and does not allow critical damage. It says that, but I still die..........Grin. But it does really help. I love this game as much as you do, play it some every day. Have fun Kit
Adding the face cam was a good idea. The faces you make when you are fighting back the rage are great. I just now found this blueprint, so i haven't used it yet. I also just got the AK74 Scout. It is a DMR that holds 30 rounds...I've got to try that out next time i get to it.

Hi just started playing breakpoint but my problem is I am using the nacon unlimited wireless controller. Does anyone know how to alter the sensitivity of the right joystick without using a computer because I don't have a computer lol, tried the game settings but that doesn't work well not on this controller. See my problem is trying to aim it's to sensitivity and by the time I have got my aim just right I am nearly dead.
I have been surprised by the lesser known assault rifles. The 553 is really good too. I have one with Accuracy and Handling in yellow and it's a laser gun. The 516 only has 22 damage per shot and the 805 and 553 are at 27 or higher. The Mk 17 SCAR was a disappointment but I understand why the same old M4 and others don't shine in a dumb manner. They're good but these other guns are newer designs so they show them in a modern and better light than the 25 year old platforms. I can't wait for new guns to be put into the game. I found the AK 74 Assault to be a damned good gun as well. I'm hoping they realize that the ACOG is a battle scope and not a sniper scope and allow us to put them on all ARs and not just the AK 12. When the encounter is going loud I replace the suppressor with a good muzzle device to reduce muzzle climb and remove the 20% damage reduction of the suppressor. How do you switch between iron sights and over the shoulder aiming on the fly? I don't know what the command is for that on the PC without doing so in the menu by hitting ESC on the keyboard. Would love to do that.
I don't understand why the game would say highest damage, at max the 805 is at 27. The SC 20K is at 32 max level. The AK47 and Mk 17 is at 32 max level as well. What is the deal?
in my opinion the 805 bren is a really good rifle highly accurate decent damage aesthetically pleasing is highly customizable and has a high fire rate but i still prefer the mk 17 assault
The MK17 punches like a devil, like a anti aircraft. Also, really low trajectory dropping on long shooting range. A little drawback could be that it hasn't single fire (just burst and auto), but it's moderate auto fire rate allows you to control shot for shot in auto-mode.

I have all three save slots with a level 252 character. Elite faction missions to my knowledge are the only means to get higher level gear and not all elite faction missions are equal.....most of them are pretty worthless.........look for one where you have to Extract a Sentinel Commander. All the enemies in this mission will be level 255 and will drop tons of good stuff. So kill all the grunts and leave the Commander till last.....now kill him.........You will fail the mission and now you can reset it.......do this over and over and over until you have all the goodies you want. The 803 Bren is a keeper as is the VHSD2......both are fantastic. I always hear about the best assault rifle in the game.....the M4A1 and just grin. Both of these put the M4A1 to shame. Generally you can take out the snipers and rocket guys before they all hide. The 805 Bren.......handling counts in CQC The EVO3 Scorpion......it is super good and available to all classes. The game has changed.....for the better I think.....but stealth is not an option most of the time. Just keep moving is the best option now. I have used them all.....but find it hard to put the above 4 down. Since the changes to the game and with 4 times the enemies in most bases........I used to like a couple of the LMG weapons.....but now all they do is alert and bring every enemy within 10 miles right at you. Grin!! Stealth can still be done but it is difficult to maintain. One faction mission the other day......go infiltrate a high level Wolf Camp without detection......good luck on that one I tried it 4 times and gave up. That base has both flying and wheeled drones......you have to be kidding me...without detection......no not kidding, well I gave up!!! Drones can see through walls....... Have fun Kit

the range on the A2 is insane and it does a lot of damage even with the suppressor

The Bren doesn't have the highest damage.. try the AK47 or the MK17... They both have higher damage than the Bren

The Ak12 was sweet in Wildlands, not used it yet in Breakpoint
805 Bren has the same damage as the VHSD2 but has less accuracy and less distance, it lacks in every category except handling.

Finally pushed into 252 after a long haul at 250. Long hail meaning over a few weeks and a half. It's all variable on drop rate I guess.
Try the A2 assault rifle and the 5.7 pistol! That pistol will change your life!
Watch for the kicker of a blue 252 jump with no hope of a purple or gold lvl
