  • On October 8, 1976 Trenny Lynn Gibson was hiking with her classmates on the Forney Ridge Trail in Great Smokey Mountain National Park when she suddenly vanished. I visited the trail on June 27, 2018 in an attempt to locate the spot where she suddenly vanished (0.5 to 0.75 miles from trailhead). As a former missing person detective, there are so many questions I have regarding this case. So much of this case does not make any sense. My heart goes out to the family. Please post your comments and for more information, see Missing 411 Eastern book by David Paulides. Please forgive the shaking camera, the weather was wet, similar to when Trenny went missing.

Today would be Trenny's 58th birthday, Happy Birthday Trenny.

Very sad for the family too. Please pray for her mom and siblings.

So the students went up in a single line, including Trenny, and she vanished? There is no possible that a serial killer, or animal took her. She was taken away by the same supernatural entities who took Denis Martin. Vanished forever

If an animal, then she was carried away by the animal (leaving a trail) or it would have left a blood trail at the sight of the attack. I have read everything I can find on this case. Dennis Martin is another big mystery. Thanks for comment.
