God after going through his good ending this feels so.... Gross. He became just like the man who ruined his life, and we let that happen despite even knowing this would happen due to the memories in the skull of cazadors master, where its revealed cazador was just like him until he became a true vampire.... Props to larian for making this absolute gut punch
“You’ve given me everything” in this moment that just sounds like a honey sugar coated lie, he’s not himself anymore and if you did the wisdom option you would see that and how he resents you for letting him ascend so for me when he says “you’ve given me everything” I just hear “you’ve taken everything” and it hurts my heart to think that 😭
I just completed the quest line for the first time earlier today and man was I SCREECHING from fangirling the ENTIRE time. Neil is a saint for his amazing voice acting 😭
Pretty sure he is negging you. Wanting to hold off on making you a true vampire… you made him crazier and more neurotic than he was before. Actually, fully on insane judging by how the ascension powers work.
The game ends before that’s ever resolved, but he doesn’t try to enslave you or anything. I haven’t done another playthrough to compare, but I don’t think he treats you any differently whether you’re his spawn or not.
you're his spawn for the rest of the game. However, he explicitly states that he sees you as his "consort", rather than a mere spawn. He indicates that, in the future, you will both drink each other's blood and, frankly, genuinely likes you as more than just a vampiric offspring. Hell, he's positively DELIGHTED at the prospect that the two of you could go travelling together or take over Baldur's Gate. EXCEPT if you try to break up with him, of course. Then he goes full Cazador on you, but frankly if you want to back out AFTER you helped him become that powerful AND let him turn you... it's your own fault, really.

@@NeoConker626 No thanks, there’s no reason my character would do that. Everyone’s playthrough is their own, but I’m happy with how mine worked out in the end.

No one else posted this particular sequence. Thank you ElektricAngel.

I wanted to go back to this scene in my own game for... reasons... but the dang save got messed up. So tysm for uploading this 😅
Thank you for sharing what happens with this path!
God he is so evil and terrible in this ending but so hot :/
The only one post Astarion turns Tav into a vampire. Question: Does Tav get 1d10 necrotic damage same as Astarion?
No, Tav gets the basic Vampire Bite ability, not Astarion's more powerful Ascendent Vampire Bite, and does not deal any additional necrotic damage.
the things i do for immortality...
Does Astarion ever let you drink his blood after he ascends? Or are you stuck as his spawn?

You need have romance with him for this ti happen? He don't have me those dialogue options, i already complete all his quest with Cazador
Yes, it’s only available as a romance option.
Hm, too bad you can't do the same to one of your companions when you play Astarion as an origin character. Or am I wrong?
Pause on this whole video
has anyone tried biting him after turning you into a spawn?
Someone else asked about this so I tried it and nothing happens.
At what point does this cut scene happen?
Once you return to camp after completing the Cazador quest (and letting Astarion finish the ritual).
Does anything change cosmetically with your character?
As a Tiefling I already had fangs & red eyes but I was looking for changes and didn’t see any.
what if you bite him in camp ? do you become a true vampire ?
I tested it and absolutely nothing happens XD Just the usual Happy/Bloodless tradeoff. Tav’s vampiric status doesn’t change.
what happens if you kill him afterwards?
I don’t know, he’s my precious little meow meow and I’d never hurt him 🥲
@@ElektricAngel Ascended Astarion is not your precious little meow meow. You sure sound like Cazador, honey.
@@alise4041 lol I don’t think Cazador knows what that means.
