Thanks to this video, I made several and place them all over the property just in case.
Im from tondo manila this is our slingshot. We use 5 inch nails to make an arrow we use abaca for tails and tres cantos file very simple. Im member of sigue sigue sputnik before not anymore im old man already.

I have shoot these darts myself using single band slingshot conventional slingshots an also shooting frameless.......that takes experience an muscle memory

A quick yet simple and inexpensive to build project with easy access to readily available materials yet a very effective weapon with the same effect as the more complex and time consuming to build crossbow or dart gun. There is another way. Find the simplest most inexpensive method of construction that compensates for the fact that you may lose a few. That way it won't be as annoying.

We have this in the Philippines. This is an improvise weapon used by warring gangs & criminals. It is paired w/ improvise shotgun, revolver or any handgun.
I was wrong. The chisel works great for blow gun dart tips but might be too deep a V for the sling and cause it to hang and come back which wouldn't be good.

Зачем было делать дополнительную часть к ложу рогатки? Неужели при помощи УШМ нельзя было вырезать из цельного куска дерева? И проще и быстрее и надежнее. Зачем плющить стрелу потом придавать арматуре стреловидность , обрезая грани ,тем самым ухудшая возможную баллистику и затрудняя процесс извлечения стелы из мишени? Можно было при помощи той же УШМ заострить наконечник и сделать круговую канавку для сцепления с тетивой. Крепление оперения посажено на клей и капроновую нить и проволоку. Проще было просто просверлить отверстие в хвостовике стрелы и продеть оперение . И надежнее и клей тратить не нужно. Да и вообще , если уж заморочился с таким ложем, то можно было изготовить подобие арбалета с рычажным спуском.
Без токарного станка конусовидный наконечник не сделаешь, а сделаешь кривой косой и который будет портить баллистику фактом своей кривизны, плоскую стрелу гораздо проще сделать точно.
@@Eimrine Вы серьезно ? Ну да конечно. А Вам токарный станок с ЧПУ и лазерным вычислителем и телеметрией или вы на обычном 16К20 справитесь? А насчет равномерной заточки прутка легко можно обойтись и без "токарки". Люди знаете ли умудряются сверла, фрезы и резцы на ушм точить и как-то без токарного станка обходятся. Это в любом случае точнее будет , чем плющить пруток (получится ли равномерно нанося удары молотком разной степени силы , разной степени точности и подрезать две стороны надеясь что они получатся одинаковые) то есть не только ковка должна быть точной , но и подрезка. Заточить же пруток проще некуда! Ну если вы совсем криворуки , то можно зажать ушм в тиски , а пруток вставить в дрель (стандартные патроны позволяют зажимать цилиндры до 15мм) и произвести заточки имея постоянное , одинаковое вращательное движение заготовки. Есть вариант воспользоватся конической фрезой которую можно вставить в дрель , а пруток будет при этом в тисках или взять набор из двух угловых фрез подобрав 2 с необходимыми градусами. Если уж ваш "арбалето-рогаткострел вам понравится и стрелы-болты придется делать массово , то и на фрезу можно разорится всего 1000 руб , ну а если вы буржуй и не можете без станка ровно заточить пруток , тогда можно и токарно- револьверный станок купить всего за 1,5 млн рублей . И сможете делать ваши стрелы в "космических" количествах !

Ходить на работу можно кувыркаясь через голову . Ничего страшного ведь до работы 200 метров. Если кого- то устраивает такой способ передвижения ходите кувыркаясь всего то 200 метров. Я высказал мнение , что для меня данный способ максимально неадекватен. Но я не настаиваю хотите кувырком - ходите кувырком. В конце концов каждый "сам себе злобный Буратино"!

While I'm not sure which part of India it's was used, this style of slingshot actually comes from the Philippines (which when you think about is not too far from India.) Some seafaring Indian people may have come across it during their travels and brought it back to India. Hopefully that clears up some confusion.
I can't say whether he is reffering to India or native American but I have seen variations in India. These are dart based sling shot used for small game hunting or fishing. I have seen some variants used tribes in eastern part. A more advance based may be present in southern India in weapon based martial art traditions because dart is one weapon used in those arts.

Almarhum ayah saya sangat mahir menggunakannya.... dia menggunakan perhitungan secara spesifik... mulai dari panjang jeruji yg akan dijadikan mata panahnya dan berapa panjang ekornya (menggunakan bahan sintetis akan berbeda dengan bahan alami seperti bulu unggas). Semua itu diajarkan oleh kenalannya (umurnya jauh lebih tua dari ayah saya). Yg merupakan eks DI/TII. Konon menurutnya tentara lebih takut senjata itu ketimbang senjata api kala bergerilya menghadapi pemberontak DI/TII. Untuk ekornya lebih aero dinamis menggunakan serabut nylon sapu... yg terbuat dari plastik ketimbang tali rafia.

It's a very effective weapon. But I think in nature it's a little difficult to look for these arrows if you miss the target.

Это в любом случае точнее будет , чем плющить пруток (получится ли равномерно нанося удары молотком разной степени силы , разной степени точности и подрезать две стороны надеясь что они получатся одинаковые) то есть не только ковка должна быть точной , но и подрезка. Заточить же пруток проще некуда! Ну если вы совсем криворуки , то можно зажать ушм в тиски , а пруток вставить в дрель (стандартные патроны позволяют зажимать цилиндры до 15мм) и произвести заточки имея постоянное , одинаковое вращательное движение заготовки. Есть вариант воспользоватся конической фрезой которую можно вставить в дрель , а пруток будет при этом в тисках или взять набор из двух угловых фрез подобрав 2 с необходимыми градусами. Если уж ваш "арбалето-рогаткострел вам понравится и стрелы-болты придется делать массово , то и на фрезу можно разорится всего 1000 руб , ну а если вы буржуй и не можете без станка ровно заточить пруток , тогда можно и токарно- револьверный станок купить всего за 1,5 млн рублей . И сможете делать ваши стрелы в "космических" количествах !

@@АйдынИмашев-е6й Лично я и не ни с кем и не ругался . Стрелу можно изготовить по всякому - согласен. Вот только я говорил о целесообразности данного способа изготовления. Ходить на работу можно кувыркаясь через голову . Ничего страшного ведь до работы 200 метров. Если кого- то устраивает такой способ передвижения ходите кувыркаясь всего то 200 метров. Я высказал мнение , что для меня данный способ максимально неадекватен. Но я не настаиваю хотите кувырком - ходите кувырком. В конце концов каждый "сам себе злобный Буратино"!

интересно а часто ли автор получал по пальцам этим резиновым жгутом и железной проволокой на ней?? разбить палец до серьезной травмы при помощи этого можно с легкостьюда и форма наконечника такова что с легкостью может соскочить при натягивании..
в общем если есть желание нанести себе увечий то рекомендую сделать эту пращу и тогда вы с легкостью сможете раздробить себе пальцы или проткнуть руку дротиком

Which part of India uses this slingshot? I live in India and am not aware of such a weapon. I have only seen the traditional V shape.

Okay, let me answer it for you:
- if you lived in India, then you're aware it's a very large and culturally diverse place, which wouldn't make it unlikely that you've never seen it
- around the world there are naming conventions that differ. For instance, in Indonesia you have a "Dutch eggplant" which definitely never came from the Netherlands, but was introduced by the Dutch. English tea isn't actually from England, because they just don't grow it there. There's not particularly American about American fries, and often "Chinese takeaway" has very little to do with Chinese food.
- The word "Indian" doesn't per se refer to India. It's an ambiguous word that was thrown around alot in the (European) colonial era. Hindustan was renamed India, Americans were renamed Indian, many American colinies were named Indies, and Indonesia was the Dutch Indies, also a variation of Indian. Indian could literally mean native in many languages.
This was all down to language and history. Indian slingshot in his language, apparently. All good?

While I'm not sure which part of India it's was used, this style of slingshot actually comes from the Philippines (which when you think about is not too far from India.) Some seafaring Indian people may have come across it during their travels and brought it back to India. Hopefully that clears up some confusion.
I can't say whether he is reffering to India or native American but I have seen variations in India.
These are dart based sling shot used for small game hunting or fishing.
I have seen some variants used tribes in eastern part.
A more advance based may be present in southern India in weapon based martial art traditions because dart is one weapon used in those arts.
