    Have covered 5,000 miles in a V60 Inscription and this car is simply so, so good.
    No rattles due to,amazing build quality,; motorway journeys shrink thanks to amazing seats and ride comfort and the icing on the cake is just how good this car looks( Denim Blue/'Blonde Leather)
    A fantastic alternative to the usual choice three German brands.
    Totally satisfied!!!

    I drive an old 1998 Volvo V70XC Cross Country and the Old Girl is getting ready for retirement. After seeing this video, I am just WOW!!!!! I am blown away by this V60, and it looks like a worthy successor to my aging Cross Country XC70. It's beautiful, it looks comfortable, it has a HUGE trunk that is perfect for my model trains when needing to load up for a train show, but what sold me is the BEAUTIFUL moon roof!!!! I thought the moon roof on my sister's VERY Old 1990 Volvo 760 Turbo Wagon was impressive, and the Moon Roof in my 1998 XC70 a step above making it more impressive, but this new panoramic moon roof blows me away.
    Nice job Volvo, you have a winner with this car. BEAUTIFUL machine, and very well engineered. :)

    Volvo has definitely upped their game. These cars are amazing. On vacation to the USA i hired a Mercedes GLS but when we arrived there were none so we received a S90 long wheelbase with the option to change it out at a larger location. I was so impressed with the ride, comfortable, fuel economy and all that i didn’t swap it out. Now im actually considered purchasing one in the future but i wonder only about Volvos reliability.

    I am so excited for this to become available in the US! The new textile option for the seats is so great. It is nice to have a non leather option on premium vehicles other than fake leather. I currently have a 2017 VW with fake leather and its sooooo hot in warm weather.

    • @sic22l

      Don't get your hopes up, fabric seats may not be available in the US (like in the XC60).

    • @satnitcboy
      @satnitcboy 6 лет назад

      They're not showing them as an option with the "build your own" on Volvo's US website - though, since the car isn't available yet, that could change. It seems the only option for "fabric" seats on a US Volvo is with the R-Design "alcantara" (ultra suede) with leather trim.

    This model will absolutely cannibalise the v90 sale figures. It looks nearly the same or IMHO even better thanks to shorter chassis length, has almost the same engines, is based on the same platform and you can have the same equipment for a smaller price. It's the same case with xc60 vs xc90, as I can see here in my town more and more of 2gen xc60ies in past half year.

    Hi Thomas, long time since I wrote anything on your videos. Still doing a great job, keep it up yo! Happy you show the mid-trim level of this car. I would be extremely happy having those seats instead of leather. It looks very high class, comfortable and inviting. What a nice bright space to drive in. I wish more cars would come with great options like that. We should have a rating on the most sustainable car manufactures. This should become more of an import subject in society but of course not only with cars. :)

    I don’t know what you think guys, but I believe Volvo is spot on with the exterior design, but on the inside I feel good quality and nice design, apart of the dashboard which is really ugly. Brilliant review of a brilliant car! These days, I only look at your reviews - I love these indepth reviews, that are based on facts and firsthand experience. Too many reviews are based on what other test drivers have stated earlier; not so with Autogefühl. As a Volvo V60 driver (- and my wife drives a V40😉), Im a bit torn about my next Volvo: V60 or a XC40. I dont need the space of the V60, but the XC40 and the V60 has the same price tag, in Denmark..... hm.....🤨

    Awesome review, Thomas! I was waiting for Your detailed review since Geneva Motor Show. Thinking of getting new S60 T5 when it comes out (of course with City Weave interior, thanks to your recommendations). I have some questions: 1. You mentioned that the cabin is really silent, was the car equipped with optional laminated glass? 2. Do you think with 19 inch wheels and standard suspension it would still be comfortable ride in Belgium like roads or should i choose Volvo FOUR-C suspensions? Thanks for you hard work!

  • @petejr7583
    @petejr7583 6 лет назад +4

    Love it!! My ‘15 V60 is beautiful, but the new one is much nicer in many ways. My favorite design cues are lifted closely from the ‘14 SPA Estate Concept (Shooting Brake): Thor’s Hammers (of course), grille, sharp and prominent rear shoulder (Swedish Hip), tweed interior. The interior volume increase is another win. Traditionalists are happier with the more vertical rake of the rear hatch than the V90, for the space and the visual. The electric rear seat lowering is a nice touch in this class.
    I would prefer the old turbo 6 as in my Volvo’s, but the power from the (less refined) Drive-e T6 superturbo 4 is adequate. I would also prefer some more redundant tactile button controls for basic HVAC, stop/start and infotainment (this integrated center screen/monitor is preferable to the Audi and Benz stuck-on jokes). Volvo still not nailing the suspension and steering. Other versions have adjustability for steering power assist which helps the feel,along with a bigger wheel/(lower profile) tire package.
    Thanks for the very informative road test Thomas! Nice job!

    I don't understand blind spot monitors. If you adjust your mirrors properly you don't need them. Unfortunately most people adjust them so they can see the side of their car when parking, instead of adjusting them slightly further out to see the lane next to them, thus eliminating "blind" spots. Beautiful car btw, awesome review.

    Fantastic review. The only thing I didn't hear you mention was the rear window visibility the way the seats are set up. As for the engine, we in the U.S. will not get diesels, so I am curious what you think of the petrols and if you have driven them? I am told we will get the plug-ins around June of 2019 and likely only the lower (I think the 310) HP engine which will be more than enough, likely coming on the 19 inch tires. Love the cloth interior. If you live or play in the desert here, that is a winner. Not hot, not cold. Thank you.

      Jan Šinkovec it has been since the 1950s really! Especially furniture and industrial design, but it's not just IKEA and it's not just Sweden. Denmark and Finland has some of my favorite as well, and Norway has been killing it in architecture lately with giants like Snøhetta.

      Yea i know but in the last couple of years its been getting even more pronounced. I dont mind exactly but if it starts getting thrown around too much then its going to lose its value.

    Thank you Thomas for the great review! I am looking at the T6 V60 Momentum for the US market. Same interior but grey exterior, depending on price.

    I wish they would allow special ordered manuals on the T6 petrol engine. Please Volvo!

    Hi Tomas! Great video as usual! =) I have a question regarding the city safety-features of the car... how does that work on a manual car? What happens for example if you are in 6th gear and the car in front of you panic brakes? Will the car you drive also brake or will it just flash a warning and audibly warn you to brake? I cant find anything about this online. There’s only info about automatic cars.

      We did test that with a Mercedes bclass once. The AEB just stalls the engine then
