The Concert Band is one of a number of ensembles of the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own" (usarmyband.com). This performance features music directors from across the country who were invited to participate in the Band's Annual Conductors Workshop, at Brucker Hall, Fort Myer, Virginia.

DaJuan Brooks recently graduated from Northwestern University with his Master in Music in Music Education, Clarinet Performance, and as a recepient of the John P. Painter Fellowship. Mr. Brooks was a participant of the National Band Association Young Composer and Young Conductor Mentor Project in 2017 and has worked with Dr. Mallory Thompson, Anthony Maiello, Colonel Larry Lang, Dr. Rodney Dorsey, Dr. Paula Crider, and Gregg Hanson. Mr. Brooks will be the new Director of Orchestras at Niles West High School in the fall of 2017.
Harris Malasky is a Master of Music graduate from the New England Conservatory with a double major in Trombone Performance and Wind Conducting. In addition to serving as the acting Principal Trombonist of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, he maintains and active freelance career in the Boston area. His trombone teachers include members of the Chicago and Boston Symphony Orchestras, and has studied conducting with Charles Peltz, Mallory Thompson, and Mark Scattenday.
