I used to enjoy listening to Mr Burnett's daily lunchtime programme on Radio 1, back in the late 70's and early 80's. He was a talented radio presenter/'DJ', with a very pleasant and soothing voice. What is more, I always got the impression that he was a genuinely nice man. I do hope that life has been treating him well in recent years.
@kenfig does anyone remember the competition paul ran to find details of an old comedy vinyl featuring the sound of hoofbeats and someone tring to sound the advance or retreat by someone playing a bugle poorer and poorer until they were barely audible, very very funny, any ideas?
Thanks for the opportunity to see PaulBurnett. My favourite producer
