Bit off an odd one. As for how authentic it is, I cannot judge, but im sure its nice having the right diameter for the immersion. But quality wise however I'd look at this a lot more critical. Sure the price is okayish for what its meant to be but poor quality control on the stitching, the weird glued in cables and the shifters outright not working would 100% put me off of buying this if I was interested in it. If its only for the steering wheel, Im sure you can find higher quality 260mm steering wheels out there if the shifters dont work anyway.
I see what you're saying, but the shifters were an easy fix so they work fine now. the buttons are also really handy. I think it's good value for a hand made small scale product
I have similar impressions about mine (I've had it since late 2021): love the feel of the wheel itself and the buttons are nice (I can look past the slight imperfections in the stitching at this price point), but the big fails are the shifters (mine seems to be an older model but the shifters are just as inconsistent in feel), and that usb placement...either it should have come out the back or they use a right angle plug. I'm actually wondering how to remove the shifters as I really don't care for them and would rather the wheel be as it really was in the MP4/4.

It's a shame that they haven't just made the shifters use the same mount as the SRM ones, there would be a very simple mod to be able to make them work with this wheel and would be a far superior product Unless it is the electronics at fault and not the shifters
I'm pretty sure he used a momo wheel. This is just a circular 260 mm diameter wheel. I bought one of fanatec for 100 dollars. A proper one of momo is about 270 dollars. Ironically I use mine for rallying because my formula rig requires a small wheel.
Which fanatec rim do you mean? There's not a single fanatec wheel that's 100 dollars as far as i know. The cheapest is the CSL bmw rim, right? and that's 300mm.
99% of what I race is so called vintage stuff. I’ve wanted one of these without shifters for a long time but I use a couple different Momo 280mm wheels and I think this might be too small. I really want the buttons. Nobody out there makes a wheel plate without shifters. Don’t wanna pay for something I’ll never use.
yeah it's super small and may not be the 'best' for these cars but it IS authentic. Part of the reason they were so small is because of limited space. remember, they also had to use a h-pattern shifter in that little monocoque chassis :o It does give an indication of how crazy they were too :p
LOL, how in the world did they manage with only 2 buttons on the wheel back in Senna's time? I'd bet the red button is PTT. I can't come up with a theory on what the green button might have been used for off the top of my head. But two buttons! I guess that's what happens when racing cars carry around more weight in computers and interfaces than mechanical part that make the car go vroom.
I had this wheel last year the best feeling wheel I have ever had but like you the shifters fell apart on me and the build Quality is rubbish but I got my refund no problem looks like they haven’t improved the shifters yet that’s a real shame
@@LaurenceDusoswa I did mate they were fine about it but they did say it’s strange your having problems I first contacted them as the screws would not stay tight in the shifters but I put lock tight on to sort that but a week later the shifters fell away so that’s when I got the refund so customer service was fine Loving the Chanel mate you deserve all the success in the world I really appreciate your hard work and dedication and your word is very much trusted all the best brother
Nice looking wheel but the way they have implemented the cable is shocking, that is literally a USB at a straight angle coming out of the wheel. As soon as you lose the wheel in a crash that's going to rip straight out ! Hot glue or not ! Shame a simple fix would have made this much better

this is a very unique wheel, looks very fun to race with it! definitely brings a challenge with the combination of car and the size of the wheel.

The wheel attaches to anything with the rig it quick release. But the buttons will need a drive hub adapter or something
