- In today's video I will be sharing my honest review of my first ever Chanel bag unboxing from Fashionphile. The bag I purchased was the Caviar Lizard Embossed Quilted Small Coco Handle Flap Bag in the color black. I have been on the hunt for this bag as my SA was not able to get me this bag from the store due to it's popularity. I am a huge fan of Fashionphile and have sold multiple bags with them in the past and have had wonderful experiences. However, in this video I will be sharing my experience as a consumer and not a seller. I hope you find this video helpful, informative and entertaining.

The condition should reflect everything overall so I agree with that. If there is any wear it should be listed and considered but that depends on the company’s definition of each grade. Fashionphile’s excellent used to look like new but I have noticed that has changed. Sorry the bag didn’t work out.

You're correct, I have the same bag, brand new from store. It has aged gold hardware , some have polished hardware.

I think you made the right decision to return the bag...the tarnishing would have continued and I dont know if hardware can be replaced. The rarings on Fashionphile have been all over the place..I recommend next time setting up time with a personal shopper so that you can confirm the quality 😊

Hello! The coco handle is my favorite Chanel bag. I have a large. It’s a great bag. Sorry it did not work out. I would get it new from the boutique because this bag is not crazy expensive when compared to the classic flap. 💜
Yes it was love at first sight for me lol. I tried to get it directly from the boutique but my SA couldn’t get the one I wanted. But it’s still on my wish list. I’m also still conflicted on which size to get. Which size do you recommend? I originally wanted the size small.
Congrats! It’s a beautiful bag. I got mine in 2021 and my SA informed me that the previous sizes were larger so technically you have a medium if you have the 2020 small.
Yes that was my fault for not looking at the measurements. I am going to eventually add it to my collection 🥰

Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the *LVGUCI* book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
I agree with sending the bag back for the fact the handle was so wonky and leaning forward. Immediate return for me. The sizes for the Coco handle size names have changed so much that you really have to look at the measurements listed.

Hey girl!💞 to be fair, the hardware on this style bag is supposed to be an “aged gold”. So it’s not tarnished. That was the intended look for this particular hardware. You should have kept it. Especially if you got it for a steal😩 FP does a great job with their photos and descriptions! I would recommend visiting one of their stores, specifically in Cali of you’re near 😊
Hey girl! Thanks for sharing this as I wasn’t aware of the aged gold hardware look. However, I still didn’t agree with the ranking system with FP. They didn’t fully explain it in the description and marked the bag as “excellent” condition, which I would of honestly marked as “good” condition. So to be honest, I was a bit disappointed. I still do love FP and will maybe give it another shot in the future. Thank you so much for your help and for watching 🥰
I'm so sorry the Coco handle didn't work out for you. I have the Coco handle in all black, which was considered the small and now the medium. I love this handbag and purchased it new from the boutique. The Coco handle is my one and only Chanel handbag.
Hey, I really love this bag so it’s definitely still on my wishlist. I am just going to be patient and buy it directly from the boutique. I never usually buy second hand and was so inpatient which is why I turned to FP because I couldn’t get it from the boutique. My SA called around to other Chanel’s but no luck for the color and size that I wanted. However, I’ve learned my lesson lol. Sometimes we just have to wait! Thanks for sharing and for wathcing 🥰
Also, the tarnishing doesn’t reflect if you get the champagne hardware. That gold plated tarnishes horribly😢

I wonder what’s going on. I love fashionphile and have never once had a bad experience. I do ensure I look at every photo and zoom in etc. I never question the authenticity ever, but the bag description should def match the bag. I think this is a newer issue, usually fashionphile is extremely good at the descriptions. I wouldn’t say that bag is excellent but rather just good.
I agree, I just wish they could have a better ranking system. I’ve always had pleasant experiences selling with them so I was excited to purchase from them. I’d probably still give them another try in the future. Thanks for watching 🥰

I get it why you returned it. I would not have kept it either. I’ve been trying to add the boy bag into my collection for a while and I have decided to purchase it directly from the boutique. I just bought some slgs from the Chanel boutique this week and next week I’m getting my boy bag. I don’t trust these consignment stores. All of my bags are directly from the store. If I she’ll out thousands of dollars regardless of the savings I don’t want to have any reservations on the authenticity of the bag. I hope you find it at the boutique. That is a bag that is constantly in production.
