5 Trimming Tips you may not have been taught.

5 Trimming Tips! I never teach wheel throwing, but had a big trimming day today so a few things came to mind which I thought some of you may find helpful.
1. Center your pot using a little water on the wheel, rub to create a little slip and tap into place. No lugs!
2. I use a trimming disc by @diamondcoretools which is so helpful & inexpensive. It’s the tool you didn’t know you needed 😄
3. Before cutting in your foot, simply chamfer a 45degree angle. Much easier to get a clean angle.
4. Add any guidelines for decorating while your wheel is spinning and your pot is centered.
5. Finally, remove your pot with the wheel spinning by a little twist of the wrist in a clockwise direction. This keeps your pot in shape.
