P.S. You are the first female artist (or female, period) I have found on youtube that I LOVE to listen to. Your beautifully hard to place accent and your eloquent articulation of English is so refreshing, soothing, mature and every bit inspiring. Listening to you speak stirs me to take refresher course in Linguistics.
Your work is beautiful! I very much enjoyed watching the 16 minute version of 18 hours of work. It gave me a few ideas on the techniques I should practice and apply to the pieces I make. Thank you for sharing. For this 18 hours of work you could chop up the video to make about 10 tutorials!
thank you for making this video! You are very talented! I want to get into digital collage using procreate and this really helped me figure what its all about. definitely subscribing.
I have loved your work forever, and as a graphic artist, it's so rewarding to watch you work. You've inspired me to try my hand at collages (usually I do vector art in Illustrator). Thank you for your generosity in sharing an overview of your techniques.
wow! I feel like I need to go relearn art. thank you so much! You helped me answer a question in my head on how to collage/paint my ideas for a book I'm doing. Now I know!!!
I don't know how long ago you posted this but I love it!! I am re-inspired to learn Photoshop!! I had a friend "try" and show me before (it did not turn out well), but watching this showed me the possibilities of what can be done!!
I am so pleased to hear that I inspired you to try again! Haha about your friend, well it takes a certain kinda person who can teach I think. This vid is almost from two years ago now, although I do still do digital collage for select clients it's not things I am sharing, because I don't really seek out illustration jobs anymore, I moved onto a new artform since then - but I might upload some more tuts because your post made me think it would definitely be useful for some. I also do most of my digital collage on Procreate on the ipad pro now - it's a little easier to figure out than Pshop
Thanks so much Lisa I am Blue Lace Agate on IG and you mentioned something about your YT channel and I decided to check it out. I love your illustrations and you showing how you create them is wonderful! I basically want to figure out how to clean up some of my old drawings that I’ve scanned into my PC. I have gotten away from drawing also but wanted to post them.
My new favourite RUclips channel !! Thanks for sharing this, I looove your art since Deviantart and I'm so glad to finally have a look at your motivations and process. :)
@@LisaFalzon I agree. I've been Deviantart since the beginning. Started noticing a trend change about 11 years ago that somewhat put me off. Now instead of checking in bi-monthly, I only check in once a year or so. HOWEVER, I have noticed there is still a thriving community (although smaller and pushed to the back corners) of fine art painters and amazing digital composite and paint artists. Just have to dig for them. Basically there's still hope and life on that platform so don't give up. Still, venture outwards to other platforms as well. :-)
WOW!! I have been a fan of your work for a while now and to see it in action is awe inspiring. * So incredibly beautiful.* I'm working on a few pieces myself, though I'm new and teaching myself as I go. This video helped me understand some areas in Photoshop where my knowledge is lacking, and some techniques that can help my process. I can't wait for your next video! Thank you so much for sharing *
Hey Mindy! Wow thanks so much for your comment, it's made me smile so wide :D - hearing that this video helped you in some way is dreamy 😍😍😍😍 . Helping and inspiring people as to what can be done with Photoshop is my aim💖. Please if you can think of any particular area you would like to focus on or have trouble with or questions about let me know I would love to know what topics I can dive into more deeply - either here or on insta or email just drop me a message. I'm also self-taught like you, only I've been doing it for 20+ years now so you learn a thing along the way and maybe I can have some insight to share. 💖
Jules Duquette thank you, it’s a fun process 🙃 I remember the first time I clipped and cut things this way into a digital collage, it was 2007 I had a very primitive, nom-pressure-sensitive, 20 euro tablet and was like yep okay this is a great medium 🥰
I've admired your work for a long time! Thank you so much for sharing your process. I've experimented with digital collage a bit and couldn't quite get the look I was going for. I'm working on an Ipad Pro and really getting to know Procreate. I've also been learning more about Photoshop, There's just so much to understand and it takes time and practice. Seeing your steps inspires me to keep going, so thank you again! Looking forward to more of your videos. :)
WHAT THE HELL, THIS IS Incredibly beautiful. I love your work. Very nice nice Nice.!!! But how do you deal with the pixilation of all the images beucase these aren't vector based? thank you
Dalila Sadykbayeva if it were easy, everybody would be doing it! ❤️ On the up side, you’ll totally get there! Just start small and keep going. The only thing that stands in your way is not any objective difficulty, but yourself giving up before you get there.
THAT MOVIED MY GROUND
Goshhhh, this was so dope😳❤. I wish I had a wide imagination like yours
I just can say WOW in the whole of video

I think with a name like Falzon and her accent, she is from Malta ;) though I could be wrong :/

Great work! It really inspired me to create more. Thanks!
I am blown away! It appears so easy to do when I watch the process . But it takes a lot of work
Syma Baltazar it’s definitely labour-intensive but some moves become second-nature after you practice so much 🙃 try it!

Do you work in multiple layers and do you merge all your layers in your finished piece?
Damn I feel like I ain't doing nothing 😭
Also was this in Procreate?
