I feel your pain with XTB…you never know what you’re going to get. Maybe a QC issue, super tight joints, paint issues, funny thumbs or that rare occasion a great bot. All joking aside I really do want them to succeed. They have had some great bots in the past and the potential to be a great company.

Watching this transformation made me want to throw this across the room. The amount of patience you have transforming this is incredible. I enjoy watching your reviews. Can’t wait for the Fans toys versions of Ratchet and Ironhide so I can selling my Takara versions.
Dude it's like every single feature has caveats and warnings. It's exhausting to watch you try not to break this thing and also explain everything to watch out about it. Keith should have just put out the accessories, sled, and heads as an upgrade pack for other Ratchets.
I got mine in hand so I can say I have the same complaints as most, but also I wish the face had a flatter paint app. Cartoon accurate with a metallic face seems off to me. This is my first Rachet figure ever after 28 years of collecting, if you can believe it.
I'll get this to have my own experience. I usually dont go for any bot after Takara made it depending on how well it aged. I like the bot mode besides the lines in the chest. Alt mode is ok... Great Review ✨️😀
I really wanted xtb to do good figures, most of their lineup look spot on But now they just became everything i hate in an action figure Frustating transformations, not fun to pose and with a lot of useless accessories
I dont understand that XTB didnt make the transformation easier and more solid by using the sled as a partsforming piece. That compromise would benefit the figure greatly imo.
I'm surprised that given all the accessories that they didn't include any battle damage parts. Oh well, I don't think I'll be moving on my MP 30. Even if it is a KO.
Gonna hold onto my Takara for now and wait for FansToys. I tend to not bother with XTB unless it's some character I know FT or HasTak won't bother with, like Punch or Runabout/Runamuck. Even then, I'd stick with Takara over these - something's just missing.

I can hear and feel your frustration throughout the review. I get that a character like Ratchet has a lot of accessories and the accessories are always done well by XTB but they should focus more on the figure. To openly come out before the release of the figure and say be gentle should fill anyone with any confidence whatsoever. If Keith really wants to be competitive in the MP market be it with XTB or KFC he needs to listen more to feedback from the collecting community and focus more on the quality of the end product, I mean come in paint outside the lines, paint on the underside of the foot, poor quality plastic and diagnostic/engineering that places too much stress on small plastic parts increasing the likelihood of damage or breakage. It’s always a risk for me if you go in on a XTB or KFC figure more than any other main player at any scale in the 3P universe. An easy pass for me for both Ironhide and Ratchet for me I’ll wait for FT. I’m sure FT with their ultra toon look won’t be for everyone but most of the time just holding an FT figure you can tell the figure is of a higher standard and quality. Come on XTB this is a mess

I hope you can review the MS-B44EX Ken, legends scale Ironhide from Magic Square, it's the painted version. for me that the best Ironhide out there right now

I am not telling you anything by telling you that yours has also just suffered the consequences, it would be great if you made a video on this subject because I know that I also share the news on the 3p Saint Seiya Cloth Myth and in the same way the fan pages are being decimated one after the other.
I never buy any XTB figures without watching your review, or someone else's, first. That's unless it's a figure I absolutely want, such as the Omnibots, Minerva and Misfire. As for Ratchet, I had him on preorder until I saw the price. If it was $120, or less, I probably would had kept it. I'm glad I cancelled though as he's a mess. Time to put in my preorder for Fantastic Models Ratchet.
Sigh....There are 3 things I need before I EVER CONSIDER purchasing XTB figures. 1. Reviews 2. Re-releases/V2 of their figures 3. Sales This company....they just can't. I don't trust them enough to EVER pre-order or get the first run of ANY of their figures. They almost always fumble.
Great review. It incredibly disappointing how XTB continues to have piaa poor quality control and terrible engineering. Their figures look good but always lacking in all other areas. How long has they been in the game now? Yet, they have shown zero sign of improvement.

Huge fail here is the corregated look of the chest and feet sides. The connection point of the top and bottom halfs as you mentioned is going to be a mess and lastly but maybe the Worse issue is the Chest. WHY CANT ANYONE GET THE CHEST RIGHT including you too FTs. If Prime can have a Accurate and Clean faux chest, why cant Rachet and IronHide. I dont see why They need to make the chest bulbus instead of the toon flattish rectangle and without all the cuts and bruises. Hate to say this but MS or NA might Win the MP scale Rachet/IronHide battle.
Thanks for a great review. I really don't like these kind of transformers with weird transformations that just end up looking like jigsaw puzzles if you look at the lines on the alt mode. Horrible figure.
Xtb always seems to get 90% of it right, but the remaining 10% is in the really important areas

Knowing FT has Ratchet and Ironhide coming, if you absolutely need these characters, just get an MP-30 KO for a place holder.
He does look good. And I LOVE that sled. I am hoping he goes on sale. If he does, I will get him and never transform him. Great review.

Those seeker parts are for Skywarp not Starscream. Starscream posed as Optimus Prime, Skywarp posed as Ratchet.

I think part of the issues with this figure is that they tried to rush it out before FT and the figure suffered because of it.

Personally im happy with my takara ratchet and KO mp ironhide, but man watching the reviews of this guy, he looks rough. A shame too.
