Yep it's the "beat intro" used to align 2 tracks for beat matching, if you want to get technical you use the 16 beat bar (Or double 8 in this case) and count the beats from either the outro of the previous track or start of the last verb if it has a vocal section, push her off (push start on the deck and place the needle on the start of the track, though true pros leave the wheels of steel turning) hold the beat in your head from the first track, listen to the second if the second track is running fast or slow adjust on the pitch, ready her up by killing the bass and mid to 0 and flick your cross faded across to 25% at the next bar flick in 50% bass, 50% cross fader and next bar 50% mid, then increase gradually and fade out the first track til the track you are mixing becomes the track you are playing, no rest for the wicked, next track intro point is in 90 seconds go go go!
