As already fast the studio version is, it's crazy to think they used to play this song a good 10+ BPM faster live back in the day. This riff at normal tempo is tough enough but to speed it up even more must've been torture. A song like this is probably a big reason why they play to a click now. 😆
I've watched them playing this song in DVD and i can't believe it. Tremonti is a mad man with a guitar and Kennedy is basically a juggernaut who can sing

I had never heard this song until your cover came up on my feed. It is a phenomenal verse/intro riff. I just wish it was played more clearly on the album. On the studio version it's still so muffled kinda. Like it's hard to make out the notes that are being played. And it's a shame because it's a epic riff.
I will say this song is a fresh reminder to someone like me that badass, catchy guitar riffs can still be written in E standard tuning. I'm used to playing baritone 6 strings tuned down much lower than E standard. So again, it was like a breath of fresh air hearing this song for the first time last week, and realizing it's in standard tuning. Hats off to Alter Bridge for creating a badass, fast catchy guitar riff in standard tuning!!

Amazing cover! I’m so glad you’re doing this album. Do you plan on doing the b sides and rarities for this album like you did for My Own Prison and Human Clay?
This album does have some good b-sides from it. I'll see how I feel once I get through the main album. If I'm not totally burnt out on AB at that point, I will definitely try to tackle those b-sides. I think there's 4 of them from the ODR era if I'm not mistaken.
Yes there’s Save Me, Breathe, Cruel Sun, and Solace. Would definitely love to see Breathe and Cruel Sun since they’re so unique. That being said I can totally understand getting burnt out on AB especially after learning this whole album and song. Thank you for the reply! Love your videos

I've actually done all of Blackbird already. One of the earlier albums I did though so the quality is a bit outdated.
I love you, man, but I always forget to say this: For the love of god, please organize your playlist, lol. Songs are just all over the place. Having to search through a sea of songs is insane.
I haven't updated those band playlists in years lol. Some of them got too big and there was no good way to organize them. I think I put them in order of release, newest to oldest. The only playlists I really keep up to date are the album playlists these days.
