I live where Ed lives, we see him all the time in the town etc, he is a fantastic guy. This song hits home for us, the castle is Franlingham Castle, all the kids go there, they spend their entire lives up there. My nephew joined the army and he listened to this every time he was coming home on leave. I took him to see Ed live, and when he sang this my nephew cried so hard, remembering the bittersweet times of coming home. This is our family song. Incredible.
Amusingly my great X 4th gran came form there, and kids I do youth work one day went "you related to ed sheeran being ginger, I pointed out my ancestry came from there plus my Irish side came from nr eds lol"
