New Artificial Intelligence software allows us to look at old footage in a whole new way. From blurry, interlaced postage stamp size video, we can get this! This was shot in the practice hall at the 2005 World Championships in Shanghai.
We can also generate slow motion excerpts to look at the old masters' smaller timing details which so far were hard to come by.
Here an example of Jan-Ove Waldner's deft touch. Just like the coach says: Get there early, with the racket almost stationary and move only on contact.
