Thanks Dan! I am hoping to start riding again after a few years off the bike. Really appreciate both of your channels and being able to go back over the basics and work on these drills at home!

Thanks Dan. What do you do if approaching lights on a bend? Rely on the rear only?

I havnt been riding too long, only about 12-13 years now. From my experience, it’s a learned skill, not something that happens overnight. Great information Dan! I often downshift as well, that helps out greatly in certain situations.!

Hey Dan loving the content and what you're doing. Have learned a ton. Mind sharing what jacket and pants you're wearing?

Great content sir! Noob question here. I was wondering if panick braking affects motorcycles with ABS? If so is it a different technique?

You want to use the same technique! Progressive braking pressure is the way to go to get as much braking power as possible. You want to avoid triggering the ABS as much as possible when you practice emergency braking so you don't rely on tech, but you'll have it as a backup out there on the road!
The only thing ABS does is it modulates brake power to avoir locking up your wheels, by itself it doesn't change how weight transfer and contact patch works! :)

How this technique works when the bike has ABS? Thanks.

You should use the same braking technique even when you are riding a bike with ABS. ABS makes sure that the brake pressure you apply is not too much so that the wheels dont lock up or lose traction. Even with ABS you should always use progressive braking and not rely on it all of the time. You should only rely on ABS or other rider aids in case of emergency.

Don't we use the rear brakes at all? My training coach told me to apply 70% front and 30% on the rear.
