Absolutely adorable. I’ve saved some chicken feed bags for this very purpose. Great video. Well done.

Thank you. These are super sturdy and water resistance. We love using them (and making them 😉)

Thank you for sharing this video with us all. I’ve been looking for a way to make use of the feed bags I have and you’ve made it happen

Thank you. I have seen people used duck tape vs sewing but I am not sure how well that would hold up.

Thank you! It is a great way to use up old grain bags and make a little cash to help pay for the grain that comes in those bags! :-)

Hmm I wonder if these can be used as a grow bag...put drain holes in the bottom?

How do you keep the bag from slipping? I have a hard time sewing a straight line while the material/bag is slipping. Thank you!

Slow down in your stitching so your feed dogs can keep up and hold the forward and the part near your belly at the same time can help. Good luck

Wondering how much yu sell them for?

    • @connerty_meadows_farm

Anywhere from $15-20 Canadian I sell some wholesale and the stores set their prices. I use to sell them for like $6 a bag but just sewing them can take 30-45 minutes that’s not including the washing and drying. It was like slave labour even if the “fabric” is “free”.

Thnx dear what thread must I use the 1 that I use for fabrics

any sewing thread will work just make sure you use a stronger gauge needle, I have busted a few of the lighter fabric needles when I forgot to change it out

That granny sewing machine will handle leather. lol Is it a Singer 1591?

Yeah I love her! I will never go back to a "modern" sewing machine. She's a Singer 15-90. Her stand is from a Singer 115 (I have that head tucked away as well). So technically I have two of them. :-)
