Please do not promote keeping social animals alone just for the entertainment of 'bonding with a human'. in my country there is even a law against it, cause it counts as animal cruelty to keep social animals like pigeons, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs on their own for the purpose of human entertainment. keep two at the very least! it is needed for their own mental health (a lot of parrots start plucking for example, even if they seem happy otherwise, rabbits get overly aggressive / territorial to name a few examples). Promoting proper care is important and i do appreciate the video! but please do not promote isolation from fellow species when they need the safety of the group / social interaction with an ACTUAL partner.

Hello! Thank you for commenting my video and taking your time writing this comment! I appreciate the advice! Yes parrots, guinea pigs, and rabbits do require a companion! Pigeons are quiet different however. Even with their own kin pigeons will be away from each other for long periods of time! Pigeons never really interact with another bird except their mate. They also understand the difference between a human and a pigeon. So there are times when a pigeon will choose a pigeon over the human or vice versa! This is what happened to me! Guapon had a choice between a human or a pigeon he instead chased the pigeon around trying to have it as a mate but the other pigeon didn't agree so instead he chose me! This was under two weeks! Even if Guapon wanted to have a pigeon mate he wouldn't be able to safely because of his disability. Guapon can't fly due to him breaking his wing and having it fold in on itself that's why in some clips you can see only on wing clipped while the other isn't! When he mounts me he has a bad habit of flipping over sometimes and not being able to get back up. If Guapon had a pigeon as a mate he would easily flip over then be stuck on his side for hours on end! If you have anymore questions feel free to comment more questions on here!

@@guaponthepigeon7122 As a breeder of Pigeons myself i would like to argue that pigeons are on their own / away from the flock a lot and only interact with their partner. it highly depends on the race. Pigeons have a tight knit flock they follow around and live in (as seen in city pigeons or on farmlands, they always fly together). A parrot keeper would also argue how keeping their parrot is an exception because parrots are smart enough to tell the difference. the truth is, yes. Pigeons can tell apart that a human is not a true partner, which makes it even more cruel to force the pigeon to bond with a human rather than socialize it with its fellow species. There is no exception. social animals need their own, not a human as replacement. If you see it differently then that is alright, but as a channel you have the chance to point out that a human is NEVER a true partner and pigeons should be with other pigeons. It is sadly a lot of people around the world who think keeping birds by themselves is fine. It is not. there is no excuse because a pigeon would naturally choose another pigeon over a human being as their partner. I look at my pigeons and see Guapon sitting there all alone. If he truly was bonded, he could free fly outside and would return to you, because a bonded flock sticks together. Anyways, Guapon looks to be healthy and well fed, also clean! that is a good thing for sure! :)

@@fokdepolis5964 Pigeons aren't affected psychologically in the way that parrots are and actually CAN form mate bonds with humans and do so quite commonly. I've had a hen out of a flock of 38 who decided that I the human was her preferred companion. Pigeons can be kept on their own perfectly fine as long as they get some form of daily interaction- The only need a partner if they are more of a "to look at" pet. While I don't mean to be rude, If you breed/keep pigeons you should know that they can be kept alone perfectly fine unlike many other social species.
