Autumn at peak foliage color time in Vermont is paradisiacal. The twilight colors and overcast clouds only enhance the painterliness of this marvelously evocative video, mercifully silent and bereft of inane New Age music.
Even with the rainy segments this is a mesmerizing drive for anyone who knows Manchester well. When I taught at Middlebury College, I often spent Saturdays driving through scenic areas of Vermont, and one of my favorites spots for lunch was Depot 62, which you drive by a couple of times, such as 14:42.
