I remember a machine operator pretending to swat an imaginary fly as I walked by, and another manager would regularly say “I’m gonna give a clue here now” in meetings. Never thought i would miss that job, but seeing this I do. We had a manager named tony we would regularly ask for a towel, when you had to climb the ladders to the resin system you’d yell the “gonna fall off the f*ckin thing “ line. Memories.
Worked in the dub room at a production co. where we circulated the tape of this to everyone back in the late 90s. “Would you do me a kindness?” “Slate this fucker” and “GOD DAMN SON OF A BITCH!” were the catchphrases that caught on the most.
By all accounts I can find, Jack Rebney is still out there living his best life in the Northern California wilderness as of 2022 and it warms my heart. EDIT: 5/11/23 - Just found out about Jack’s passing. An absolute legend. Rest In Power.
