At 12.57, the pavement width (and not the depth) is divided in to strips of 10" wide. Note the correction in naration please.
A worth watch. Very informative and a rare find in RUclips.
Yes, this must be the first video on RUclips giving full details of the design. Please share with your connections.
Thank you for updating one of unique and rare topic sir😊
Thanks Sachin, please share on your network.
Thank you, this is a very interesting topic and very useful !!! It is a pity that the name of the materials used for the road layers is not clear for me. Could you tell where i can find it description?
Not a problem. I have uploaded videos on my channel covering each layer of a pavement. The following video explains in brief the basics of pavement design. Watch once and let me have your views.

Thank you but I don’t understand pass to coverage ratio .where did the number 5.18 (single) and 3.48 (Dual wheel)
pass-to-coverage ratio is the ratio between the number of aircraft passes and the number of aircraft coverages. It is affected by the wheel spacing and degree of aircraft wander across the width of the pavement , usually calculated for the pavement location that is most often covered, which is not the centerline. It is defined for each type of wheel configutaion and generally a fixed value.
How can other bituminous materials such as EME2 or BTB can be modelled on FAIRFIELD?
You can introduce any layer. Read the FHWA document which is freely available online
@@SatishIITR FAARFIELD does not consider failure for user-defined materials. How can I check the fatigue failure of an AC layer that is not P401 or P403, such as Bitumin Treated Base or EME2?
Sir please make a step by step video on FAA Mix design for taxiway and connectors
Ok soon, Thanks
@@SatishIITR Thanks sir
