Robert you really hit it out of the park with this one. The views, the music, the commentary all were awesome. Even the sound of silence was incredible. Thank you for bringing us these wonderful videos of your adventures. You also seem like a very nice person as well.
thank you Robert for staying up all night to get those amazing images while most of us were snoozing..... boy I think you got lucky leaving your pump on. That could have drained your fresh tank, which could hurt the pump or overflowed a grey tank as well.... Glad there was nothing overly serious there. As always, safe travels.......
.. Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Travel Free, in Your RV❕ I never knew that this area would be SO Amazing & Majestic. That Rollercoaster was so Cool, Too! You ENJOY In Person & I by Video ~Laurie
Traveling the north without darkness give sleeping a whole new perspective. Lol! Thank you to both of you for sharing your gorgeous sunrise abd sunset. Best one ever Robert. And oh my goodness, the moose. When we came up over one sharp corner at the top of a high hill, there looking into our brown eyes, was a moose's brown eyes looking into ours. They are such a glorious animal. Y0ur share was indeed magnificent. Our hearts to both of yours. ❤carolyn & colin
This is a great video Robert! I was up there the first week in June 2023 and spent the night alone at the 86 mile overlook. It was all snow, 4x4, and made the first tracks of the year going up. Lots of birds and no mosquitoes. The most peaceful rock quarry I’ve ever camped at-with amazing views. The call of those grey-cheeked thrushes will always remind me of the arctic circle. New subscriber, thank you.
You make the trip exciting with your perspective on the road and the nearby amenities. For most the trip up the Dalton Highway would be a once in a lifetime trip.
Great video. In 2021, I traveled up the highway from Fairbanks to Coldfoot in December. Incredible beauty with all the snow, ice, and blue light. It was -35 F most of the way, and possibly a bit colder later that night when we drove up to Wiseman to watch the aurora borealis from midnight to 2:30am. After returning to Fairbanks, I flew up to Utqiagvik (Barrow) on the frozen Arctic Ocean for four days to experience the polar night. That trip was an amazing experience I'll never forget.
How Awesome to see the sun "set" but not set! Lol! to fly the drone at 2 AM and not break the rules about flying it after sunset! Gives a whole new way to look at it! Thank you for staying up into the wee hours and going that extra "several miles" to get this view!
Maybe your best and most informative video so far, sir. Thank you for a great one. Your time spent at Gobblers Notch getting the time-lapses did not go unappreciated.
I worked at a gold mine near Livengood in the early 1980’s. The town was named after Jay Livengood, one of two miners who discovered a large placer gold deposit in the area back in 1914.
The Dalton Highway? More like the Dalton Mudway in parts, I'd say...glad you're doing the driving! All things considered your rig seems to have survived the nasty road conditions pretty well. I'm really loving the drone footage. What a grand adventure this is turning out to be, really looking forward to the next episodes .Until next week, happy trails!
Hello Traveling Robert, I have really enjoyed this amazing trip and I can't wait to see the arctic ocean. This is absolutely AMAZING. Thanks Robert! Can't wait for the next video.
Robert what more can we say, the best video ever to be seen on RUclips! Breathtaking on all counts, couldn’t help shedding a tear. This day and age everyone should view your video. A thousand thank you’s!!!!!
There are so many great pull offs to camp. The videos and pictures are great but nothing is better than being there. I worked along this road for 15 years driving hundreds of thousands of miles. Everyday is different. We would hike and fish after work in the summer and snowshoe under the northern lights in the winter. Marion Creek has some nice waterfalls if you hike up to them. It’s a few miles and the trail is on the south side of the creek.
Quite beautiful thank you for taking us along Robert. Just coming back from Alaska today but only got a bit north of Fairbanks. Some great views in this.
Robert, this trip has hit it all out of the ball park. So beautiful. Thank you for sharing. So wonderful. You nailed it! I loved the power of Marion Creek.
When I was in Alaska and the Yukon, Canada we took the Top of the World Highway and the Dempster Highways, both were exciting drives. Love your videos, can’t wait to return to both Alaska and the Yukon.
Hey Patrick, those batts are very cost effective compared to battleborn. We just spent 3 weeks Drycamping in OBX, luckily we had awesome sun most days, we never went below 60 percent over 23 days. Most days hit 100% by 4 PM . We always shut off the inverter overnight, but still lose 4 percent overnight. Our big draw is our desktop computer with two monitors and a 60tb nas running, so we only edit video when the sun was out. I like the way you talked about the usage and showed updated screens from victron app. 600ah is a nice. Ank. Larry
Hi Robert…Great memories for me. Thank you so much for sharing. It’s been a minute! I have driven it two different times, but only as far as Coldfoot. I have always wanted to drive it all the way up to Prudhoe Bay. On my bucket list. I have pics of me and a late good friend of mine at the Arctic Circle. April of 1993 was the first time. What an adventure it was. Too much to say here. But thank you for bringing back the memories and letting me ride along with you. ❤
I remember it was this the Dalton Highway that got me acquainted with your channel. I found the trip from 2010 sometime in early 2012. I thought the Dalton Highway was a mysterious and interesting road and I was looking for where could I find out more about it.
Had a tax client that spent every summer in Circle. There was a group that camped there every summer. They had a big generator that they ran 16 hours a day for their power and they fished, panned for gold, and just enjoyed the isolation of the area.
That was an incredible and epic video Robert!! I'm relieved to see the damage to Minitini 4 was small after all the bumps, that was a scary looking leak! I would've been really afraid of a road like the Dalton Highway, big hills and a lot of bumps are my weakness on the road!
Thank you Robert for a very comprehensive account of what the trip to the arctic circle encompasses. The quality of this video is unsurpassed by any other. I’ve often thought that I would attempt this trip. Now that I’m 75 years old I doubt if I’ll ever be able to do it. I’m in good physical condition but as I watch your video I’m wondering what I would do if something were to go wrong and I needed assistance of some kind. Mechanical problems or health problems are always possible. What are the back up plans you have for those situations?
Glad you liked it. In the case of a mechanical problem... well have enough supplies to survive until help arrives. If you are mechanically inclined (which I'm not) have spare parts. I the case of a really serious medical emergency there's no backup. I could be hours before you can get to a medical facility.
I enjoyed this video very much. Hoping to catch-up on the entire Alaska series. We are planning to go in 2024. Great work and great dramatic music at Gobblers Nob !
OMG that video of the midnight sun. Epic all the way to the music background. I have watched a lot of your videos. That ranks hi in my list of beautiful scenes you have captured. Thanks so much for all you do. 😊 was that a Amazon chopper I heard they deliver anywhere 😂😂 Don’t quote me on that 😊
Its amazing how clean the environment is and the pride that the people have for the land. I only wish the lower 48 could be the same. Alaska is a great state to visit. Your footage is excellent Robert.
You guys went at end of June, we went in mid July 🤩 it was an amazing experience. That midnight sun ☀️ we had a herd of caribou all around us by Deadhorse 🦌
Gotta be one of your best videos....Looking forward to whats next on this adventure...I have made the same mistake of leaving my water pump on when traveling....NO MORE ...I have drained my water tank before doing that....Thankfully i wasnt in Alaska LOL ...Stay safe, be well....Saw you in Michigan at a little get together or RV Rebel Girl's channel LOL....
Robert you really hit it out of the park with this one. The views, the music, the commentary all were awesome. Even the sound of silence was incredible. Thank you for bringing us these wonderful videos of your adventures. You also seem like a very nice person as well.
Nice meeting you guys last night. These videos give a great perspective of what your travels are like and overall fun vibe.
Thank you Robert, for bringing us along on your adventure! * Stay safe & don't forget to wear your hiking boots! :)
Thanks for the three hour sunset!
Thank you for showing me a place I’ll never get to. That was an awesome video!
That sunset was amazing.
The Midnight Sun was probably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!!
These videos are getting better every week!
thank you Robert for staying up all night to get those amazing images while most of us were snoozing..... boy I think you got lucky leaving your pump on. That could have drained your fresh tank, which could hurt the pump or overflowed a grey tank as well.... Glad there was nothing overly serious there. As always, safe travels.......
You're so educated in your videos. Thank you for your wonderful videos.
Yo that time lapse footage of the sun skimming across the horizon was incredible, nice work Robert
Thanks again for a very well made, informative, beautiful, adventurous and fun video. Loving this trip with y’all. Be safe, Be blessed.😃👍💜👏👏👏
Fabulous! Thanks Robert and Ily.
Definately an adventuras drive. Loved the time lapse horizontal "sunset". A place most of us will never get to. Thanks for taking us along. 😊

Wow!! If you ever need to get away from it all, that is the place to be. Very very remote area, amazing also how the sun never sets.
Amazing video as always! Thank you for sharing!

Wow that time-lapse of the sun really showed how the arctic sun moves along!

Glad to see your drive was going ok. I don't think my rig would do well on the Dalton. Nice job.

That was an incredible and epic video Robert!! I'm relieved to see the damage to Minitini 4 was small after all the bumps, that was a scary looking leak! I would've been really afraid of a road like the Dalton Highway, big hills and a lot of bumps are my weakness on the road!

Your T-shirt collection is very impressive.
you have to go a long way and drive over some bad roads to find the "sounds of silence" 🙂
Now that is wild country. The midnight sun sounds cool. However that no sun winter sounds not cool, or really cold
Great job
Its amazing how clean the environment is and the pride that the people have for the land. I only wish the lower 48 could be the same. Alaska is a great state to visit. Your footage is excellent Robert.
This look like an overlander dream, hundreds of miles of dirt and gravel.
