Professor ,a few years ago the law was changed whereby health care professionals who by act or omission caused neglect of patients could find themselves imprisoned. At best failure to act on the part of social care, police, lawyers, judges and politicians has led to the abuse of thousands of girls and young women. The Labour Party in particular has sought to frustrate justice. They have suppressed their own members who have attempted to act on behalf of the girls and have muddied the water of investigations and reports. Jess Phillips has to choose between doing the right thing or towing the party line. Perhaps it is time to extend the law on neglect to cover all public servants. So although I understand Phillips behaviour does not warrant jail under current laws I feel she is morally in the wrong.
This has been going on for years. Jess Phillips as a feminist would support the “believe her “ movement which denies the presumption of innocence. What they planted is coming home to roost.
I am getting a T shirt made. On the front, it will say: "Now that you know I am worth 400 billion dollars, will you always say YES to anything that I ask you to do?"
Everyone should treat X (Twitter) as nothing more than a shouting match of opinions. Regardless of where you are on the political spectrum. Perhaps no politician should be on social media because responding to 1000,s of tweets, posts or whatever means they are possibly spending more time on social media than actually working.
Well, this is now a country where it is no longer possible to talk about certain crimes, especially the offenders, as media and public have been gagged by politicians. A simple like on a social media platform can lead to arrests and destroyed lives. You have to be a billionaire living abroad to talk about perpetrators and those protecting them from scrutiny. He can say whatever he wants, the people in Britain cannot. This is the issue we should talk about.

The ridiculous, drama-queen type hysteria over this is pathetic - and I include the Prof in that assessment. People can't - or won't - tell the difference between one administration and another, they won't gather facts, won't look at history, won't do any thinking.
Just respond - because that's all it seems people are capable of and let's face it that's all the manipulators want you to do. Do it loudly and occasionally violently and that'll keep the embers burning for another bout of social unrest.
What matters is that we listen, digest and make up our own minds. That's the beauty of democracy.
So long as we can tell the difference between truth and lies.
@@graj0 how have you done that in the past?
No, it's an inherent flaw of democracy. If people are fed nothing but lies and rhetoric from populists to make up their minds, and don't receive quality information to digest, then we end up with a tyranny of the majority.

She belittled women attacked by a group of Moslems by saying it wasn’t any worse than a Saturday night in Birmingham.
And famously laughed at sky-high male suicide rates.
And disingenuously attributed "Misogyny" to the people who thwarted her election campaign, slashed her car tyres, broke up a meeting while wearing masks, and heckled her throughout her victory speech. Phillips was running against religiously inspired campaigners standing on the singular issue of Gazza, not Misogyny. There is a pattern forming with Jess Phillips isn't there!

Since no high-profile "men" have spoken on behalf of these vulnerable girls (children), of which tens of thousands suffered at the hands of Pakistani gangs, then anyone speaking up, including Musk, should be welcome. Politicians, media, civil service, councellors etc must be held to account. As for the individual nature of the attack on Phillips, well Labour have attacked Tommy Robinson for years....
Pakistan is a country we should not be letting people in from, its a terrible country and we should be looking into those already here from that country, and there is nothing racist about that, look at the way women are treated there, look at the way they treat young children and in particular little boys, abusive behaviour is normalised in Pakistan, and its very well documented that it is
So...we should focus on the victims and not the alleged perpetrators? It seems to me they are getting off pretty lightly.
The plight of theses Children was already "eclipsed" by the concerns for "Diversity" and "Multicultural harmony" not to mention the over riding concern over potential lost votes.
"working tirelessly to support the victims". Really? More like working tirelessly to ignore the problem.
You shouldn’t be imprisoned for hypocrisy, but you should be called out for it. She says that she wants to protect women and girls, but has done little for those abused by Moslem men.

According to a news report Musk just called for Farage to stand down as leader of Reform 😂. Guess they might not be getting that money now.
The beauty of free speech is you can use it to cut anyone down and it means that people need to account for themselves, society without accountability becomes corrupt and the evidence is all around us. If you don't want a controversial billionaire to make you look stupid and corrupt on a public forum, even if he owns it, then conduct your business in a stately manner that people can respect, in a different age a woman like Jess Phillips would find themselves facing mob justice from as little as tar and feathering to paying the ultimate price

Musk, as a childishly immature drug addict, has the perfect set up. He can puff himself up with cries of 'Freedom of Speech!' - and get all the fanboys excited at the same time, then deny others the ability to use it on his platform. Meanwhile he gets to play with all the toys he has bought.
Who gives a hot toss WHAT Musk thinks? Guy is a clown.

It's OK when they do it! MP's were happy to sit in Parliament using twitter when it was a controlled echo chamber.
So saying Blair, Cambell, Mandelson and the other cronies should be in Jail for war crimes in Iraq should ne be allowed?
Maybe someone should do an investigation into the web of lies and deceit spun by them on behalf of their paymasters.
Well she did say it was up to Oldham council to investigate the crisis there, which of course we know they won't do for obvious reasons that she is all too aware of. So it is a case of her choosing to sweep the greatest crime committed against British working class communities in their history for the sake of diversity.
People are allowed an opinion. The US still has free speech, unlike the UK. Let Elon say what he wants as long as it's not illegal if it's illegal, then charge him, and if it's defamation, then sue plain and simple.
