Technically there was "Columbo Goes to College" where Columbo was in the same building, but he wasn't in the same spot that a victim died in *when* they died.
I love the scene in the dealership, where Columbo crawls under the Rolls and the crowd forms to watch him. Not the greatest story, not the greatest guest stars, but the supporting cast and Peter make this one of my favorite episodes
I know that bald guy with the glasses..he was General Hammond in the long running Stargate SG-1 sci-fi series. When the Gardener started up the car and it exploded, Columbo suspected the young man was responsible because he was filmed flinching before the explosion, which said to Columbo he was expecting it to happen as soon as the key was turned.
@@Backup_Plan Scully's dad, one of the creepiest scenes is when scully awakes to see him sat talking to her with no sound and she finds out later he has died.
Tyne Daly who plays the murderer and murderer and blackmailee here, also plays in Columbo's Bank Heist with photo pieces episode. She plays a hooker and does a scene with Columbo that was out of this world. Columbo let's her steal the scene and kisses her at the end, great TV. It really shows the acting talent that went into this series.
@muggsy mitty I used to watch all those detective shows. Matlock, Columbo, Murder She Wrote, Magnum PI, Simon & Simon, Cagney & Lacey, Miami Vice, etc. LOL
I watched whole episode, on thing that put me off was they just skip over Delores following Harold out to the chalet and shooting him. It's all implied.
columbo sensed something when that hypnotist guy 'called wrong number' to kill his lady friend. he sensed nothing here, so he started losing his senses =(
As two other posters wrote below, I can´t believe they destroyed a Rolls to film this. Might it have been some sort of decoy? If not, production costs must have been horrendous!
You either lied to us or he lied to you . Stop telling me that I lied and stop calling me a lier you were not there to know and if you don't believe me don't bother but stop calling me a lier .
Columbus has always been my favorite. It’s too bad when it started in the 50’s like this one it was less than 10 minutes long for the whole show. They leave out a lot of details. Later they were as long as half an hour which was a great improvement. The TV had just been invented in the 50’s so the TV sets were a lot smaller so they couldn’t handle longer shows
Well no one would remember that His key and time taken to reach the fatal car would be a time keeping ( keep with you record holder and role reversal of coach be Phelps and baby in my bathrobe be the swimmer was supposed to be the norm ... In years mutilant by the bounty I e
Oh, myyyy!!!! Fernando seemed like a very nice guy. RIP, Fernando.
That's what happens to nice guys , the bad guy got to watch
Fernando was my sister's kids uncle.we miss him
@@buckbuck9225 Happy 2021!!!
He survived. At the end of the episode he was released from the hospital.
His head just had to be reattached to his body.
@@buckbuck9225so, he was your brother? Sorry man :S
Columbo's episode with one of the most complicated cases, with Mr. Falk as the executive producer. Wow.
Was this the only time Columbo was actually present at the time someone was killed? I can't recall another time this happened.
Technically there was "Columbo Goes to College" where Columbo was in the same building, but he wasn't in the same spot that a victim died in *when* they died.
Columbo was on a the same cruise ship when someone was murdered but he was not present like this one.
What about Doudek
There was something in the air that day
The sun was bright, Fernando
He could hear the drums...
Off, that was dark! But, it got very bright for a few seconds.
All that suspense in a short clip...good stuff...poor fernando though
I believe this might have been one of the only times when Columbo saw a murder actually happen.
It’s cool to see Detective Robertson working the streets before moving his way up to Jack Slater’s Lt.
I love the scene in the dealership, where Columbo crawls under the Rolls and the crowd forms to watch him. Not the greatest story, not the greatest guest stars, but the supporting cast and Peter make this one of my favorite episodes
I wish they had done more with this Fernando character. He was my favorite in the show.

I wished someone would post the full episode of this
Poor Fernando!
Nice, very nice. Now how about uploading full episodes again please?
FCN933 AMEN!
Hopefully we will have more in the future! In the meantime, we'll keep posting clips & compilations ☺
The Mexican guy played in the Lonesome Dove movies!

Is this the one where the dude with the mullet squinted his eyes before the explosion? Or was that a Matlock episode?
It was this. "He flinched"
@muggsy mitty I used to watch all those detective shows. Matlock, Columbo, Murder She Wrote, Magnum PI, Simon & Simon, Cagney & Lacey, Miami Vice, etc. LOL
This clip ends in such an unintentional funny way. The car explodes, killing the poor Fernando. Columbo: Just one more thing
I always feel so sorry for poor Fernando.
They blew up a Roller... wow
4:15 hes like OMG NOOOOO
Nobody can fool columbo
That actor in the thumbnail…I’ve seen him before. Was he on a tv show? My Two Dads!?
I watched whole episode, on thing that put me off was they just skip over Delores following Harold out to the chalet and shooting him. It's all implied.
What the hell is General Hammond doing there in that episode of Columbo ?
FULL EPISODE PLEASE!!!!!
Hopefully we will have more in the future! In the meantime, we'll keep posting clips & compilations ☺
They destroyed a fantastic car.
I wonder if this is the first time Columbo actually witnesses a murder
Fernando would have been good as a ‘red shirt’ on Star Trek !
Pleased be assured that no people were harmed in the making of this production.
Kwaaaaaaakssss 🤣🤣🤣
Poor Fernando.
No longer Fernando. He's FernanGo!
I liked Greg Evigan better in BJ and the Bear.
Nooooo, Fernando!!!
columbo sensed something when that hypnotist guy 'called wrong number' to kill his lady friend. he sensed nothing here, so he started losing his senses =(
Didn’t Columbus used to be younger?
As two other posters wrote below, I can´t believe they destroyed a Rolls to film this. Might it have been some sort of decoy? If not, production costs must have been horrendous!
Perhaps it was a Write-Off or a semi-reconstructed wreck. See also: Gold (1974).
They killed Fernando 😱
You either lied to us or he lied to you .

Hi
Yes, very good but how about showing us a whole movie.
Excellent I am glad Fernando got blown up, the actor playing him was far too over the top.
Poor guy probably made it over the border legally.
Full episodes how about that? Tired of less than that..
Immigrants?
@Steve F If legal, then yes- immigrants. Let's hope they are.
Me might be okay?

Meh. Fernando was probably illegal anyway.
Donald Trump must have planted that bomb. Seriously though, I hope you get well soon mate. Not! Don't go dyin on me, ha ha!
