Dale, here's a bummer. Peter Yarrow passed away Tuesday, Jan 7, 2025. His soul is blowin" in the wind. RIP PY Mary Travers passed in 2009. Paul Stookey is the only surviving member of Peter, Paul and Mary. My favorite song just may be "I Dig Rock and Roll Music" 1967. It's psych pop, different from their folk music and they had great folk tunes.
Oh yes, I'm a fan of good digs like this. Sounds somehow like a 'Needles And Pins' production in lo-fi. A cool discovery from Mojo-Bone Rekkids. Thx Dale
@@recordcave Jeepers creepers only .59¢ in 1967. Rounded out in today's money that's equivalent to $5.50 USD Dale, I have a few 45s with prices on the sleeves. I like that. It reflects the economy of the times like the record reflects the sounds of the times.
At about the 1:44 mark, there's the jingle jangle of the Byrds The remastered recording still sounds rustic and in lo-fi. Perhaps the acetates were deteriorated so badly that this was the best sound that could be salvaged. Thank goodness that the folks at Mojo-Bone Rekkids are garage music lovers/connoisseurs/aficionados. They've rescued many tunes from abyss of never heard garage records. This baby is a gem. A treat to hear. Michigan was one helluva garage band state. I think that if there ever came to be a Garage Rock Hall of Fame, Michigan would be a great choice for its location. Once again, what a great garage tune
Greetings Y'all...I'm glad everyone is diggin' this little diddy... At the time they recorded these tracks, they were using new solid state technology....including solid state echo, reverb, distortion, tremolo and vibrato...It was a cornucopia of new solid state sound effects and they used 'em all ..and yep it sounds like they were recording in a cave ...or some other universe!
D, in this case LSD stands for long silent dream. LSD also stands for lysergic acid diethylamide. People once thought "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was about acid. In Chicago, LSD once stood for Lake Shore Drive, Chicago's iconic lakefront highway. It has been renamed DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Because my mind is warped, when I see the letters LSD, I think of acid.
Dale and Thomas my friends, I found a very obscure acid-driven psych record today that I think is something for you. I came across it by chance on a very small channel. * The Savage Generation - You're Not Going To Change My World (Westchester, New York, Senate Records Group, 1968). Cheers! Edwin
@@EdwinJack64 Wow, Wow, Wow!!! Ed thank you so much for the heads up about this group and recording . I've found a source for a copy and I'll be posting a video in the near future! Happy New Year My Friend! ☮ 🎶🎶
@recordcave That would be great Dale and exciting to look forward to! The funny thing was that I came across this channel and song when I went searching for songs by Superfine Dandilion outside the official YT channel. I found "Crazy Town" there, which you, as a fan, definitely know. Have a great day!
You come up with something truly special with this again Dale. Wow, this sound that was almost gone forever...seems to come from another universe. Beyond amazing!
@thomassmith8721 I like your line 'a far out place'. There in those deep caverns resides a very good DJ called DD 😂 He gives the most wondrous records a spin....

Cool song where the sustain of sound is like a psychedelic runaway freight train. I liked "I Can't Imagine" too!
Fantastic 🔥🔥🔥🔥,,,Dale Duncan 🤟
Greetings sebimori and thanks for checking out some of the music.
Cheers, Dale
What a wonderful underwater sound. It fits this song somehow.
Happy New Year Laika!..."Underwater Sound" is a perfect description of this tune. It has a lot going on....

I'm with you, Bernd. It sounds a little like a lo-fi "Needles and Pins"
It sounds like it was actually recorded in a cave on reel to reel.
Can't believe this lay unreleased for so many years, this is fantastic 🏴👍🏴

Hello Edwin,
It didn't come from another universe. It came from a far out place called the Record Cave.
Yes sir, it's amazing.
