The Horde was a garage rock band that formed while attending Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. The group was active from 1966-1968 and pressed only 25 copies of one promotional Lp in January of 1967. Here’s the story as to how this record came about. … In 1967 a fellow student at Duke University, heard the The Horde perform and approached the band about recording a few songs that she had written so she could send them to different publishers.
