It's normally 2-4% and at $0.02 a ball that's not a big loss. When people do that that's because they're focusing on other things and being under pressure. This dude is just chilling and posing for the camera 💀

In a pro game tho, it's super fast paced. Pros would rather sacrifice half their reload if it meant maintaining a constant fire rate and being able to suppress or cover a teammate pushing. A reload like this in this video is way too long. Whoever he's supposed to be suppressing is already halfway up the field
Sadly he is not actually the pressure from the air is pushing the trigger back at his finger if he holds it in the right position he can fire like that. It is like a bumpstalk that allows you to bump fire a semi auto AR.

I applaud him for not wasting half the ammo while reloading. But there should be a limit on ammo if the majority of the game is spraying and praying from one spot.
I just thought of a dope idea to make paintball a better spectator sport. Put infrared lasers & trigger sensor on the guns so an overhead camera could capture the line of fire and when they are shooting. Then you could create some simple software to show that as a graphic on screen to see where paintballs are going because they are essentially invisible on camera.
Visible lanes is something we absolutely need. Neon paint would help a lot, but the way the webcasts are shot, you still really can't see the balls. On to something here, just need a real life implementation of it. And we need a mini map on the broadcasts. Don't know how to achieve that, there are trackers out there now, but not easy to put a tracker on everyone between matches. And the complications that arise from those.
I was so used to seeing a messy reload that seeing a clean one makes me feel uncomfortable... like witnessing something that shouldn't possibly happen just happened.
