    I found your video while searching how to unlock the lighter. I wasn't aware prior that it has a child safety lock mechanism. You didn't address this issue. With trial & error I figured out by myself how to unlock it. ps: I didn't have the instructions that came with the lighter anymore.

    this appears to be a tad long for backpacking purposes but otherwise has some nice features. there are many arc lighters on the market but this one may be worth looking into.

      I have made a video on a zippo style lighter if you don't need the length: ruclips.net/video/ugxxyIF54sw/видео.html This is a shorter arc lighter: ruclips.net/video/l9jmUk7MMGA/видео.html This is a flex head but probably too long for backpacking too: ruclips.net/video/qMvR_WYz0HU/видео.html

      @@Rickmakes thank you for the links. I have viewed all 3. The "zippo style" lighter is similar to one I ordered (Amazon) but haven't yet rec'd. I prefer (theory) the top arc type to those that have the accessibility of the arcs more limited.
      Another one I ordered (only one of its type I've seen so far) uses a REPLACEABLE battery (also not yet rec'd) - a Li-ion type I think (rechargeable).

      Yeah, because it's SO long it won't fit in a backpack. 🤦🏼

      Thank you! How long do you think the rechargeable batteries last?

    I have a Solify rechargeable flex lighter. In the book it says lithium battery will degrade over time limiting the ability to use but I was told you can replace double AA batteries. D you know if this is correct?

    • @Rickmakes

      The SUPRUS lighters don't have replaceable batteries. I don't know about the Solify lighters. Lithium batteries can last quite a while. It is best to keep them from getting hot as it can damage the batteries. For instance, don't leave it on the dash of a car in the sun.

    Would like to know whether the tip can be pushed through a quarter inch opening to light my gas fire? Can't find any dimensions or sizes for this thing.

      The part that extends out is 31/64" x 3/16" or 12.43mm x 5.05mm. It extends out 13/32" or 10.68mm. The main body is around 7/16" x 39/64" or 11.29mm x 15.58mm. Hope that helps.

    Please cover the charging lights, etc.

    • @Rickmakes
      @Rickmakes  Год назад

      It has four lights. Each represents 25% of the battery. For instance, if the last light is flashing, it is between 75 and 100% charge. If only the first light is flashing, it is between 0 and 25% charger.

    How well does it handle wind?

    • @Rickmakes
      @Rickmakes  2 года назад +4

      It handles wind very well. You can blow as hard as you can on it and it won't go out. That being said, the thing you are trying to light on fire may not deal well with the wind.

      Make sure it is fully charged. Try closing and reopening it. Then hold down the button. Still not working? Then I would contact the seller.
