Hello Tim and family, glad to see you’re doing well. Nordic skiing is calling you! It’s easy to learn, has huge health benefits, and is a lot of fun, and a great family activity as well. Once you’re hooked, you won’t want winter to end.
You both look like great parents!!! Tim...keep it going...i am a triathlete....long course...never have followed you much in the past...but with your heart attack, and your grit and courage coming back.....i am a true FAN!!!. Keep it going . You are one tough guy...David Goggins would be impressed!! as I am!!!!
I’m really glad you touched on Apo B and the overnight oatmeal. As someone who had the same heart attack about when you did I’d really love it (and the reason I come to your page on RUclips) if you’d cover the mental and physical aspects of recovering from it more. You’re competing more than I am right now, and most of your audience is not me, so I understand if you don’t want to emphasize that aspect or if it messes with your head too much (it certainly has changed the way I train, especially intensity-wise with a new awareness of not only diet, but the high pollution levels throughout the country) in events, but that’s where my head’s at. I can’t even totally listen to the docs telling me to return to “normal” (we are not “normal” exercisers to compete with a win mentality). Long story, but I appreciate when you share your struggles and insights.
TO, everything you’ve done post heart attack is something to be proud of and you’re still among the top in the world. I hope you find that perfect race and podium placement this year! Does this mean Rinny never gets a dog?
Sad to hear that Rinny has retired and won't be racing anymore, would have loved a farewell year racing, LCB, Ryf, Kat, Haug et al Good luck to the both of you this year !
I love grand cayman! Best wishes for a great season. Thanks for sharing the info on how you are changing your diet. My family genetics are prone to heart disease.
“Raced” with Rinny back in 08 at Lifetime in Minneapolis and you have great content. With such heavy indoor training I wonder if you monitor indoor CO2 levels which could possibly rise to an unproductive level? Worth a few bucks to monitor when so many other factors are optimized for Tim. Cheers, David
One of the most authentic and inspiring athletes in triathlon! Your comeback is amazing and should inspire anyone who takes themselves out of the game (whatever game they're in) after a set back - and yours was a legitimate set back. Thanks for sharing your journey. You and Rinny are the best! Enjoy your vacation and all the best in 2023! (I chose Tulsa over Gulf Coast this year - just better timing for me. Hope to meet you in person someday!) Cheers!
No disrespect, but is incredible how your disrespect your body eating full proceseed/ syntehic food full of disruptores microbioma. Change your diet bro. Saludos de peru
