Really enjoyed your reactions, but I think they forgot that they are a kpop group and not a dance team, so it's not that they keep putting good dancers in the back, it's that all members get their chance to shine and sing their lines.
Right it's one of the reasons I love seventeen, they have fair line distribution and screen time.
@@jfd2454 that was not always the case, thankfully this couples of year they made some changes
True, I like constructive criticism and personal opinion, but I think before going in to react, a little bit of knowledge would make the reaction content better as they are putting up reactions for the audiences to see. We obviously know more than them so it'll make the content better if they know what exactly K-pop groups are and how their performance works.
exactly, if you put it in context they are very different things from each other, because besides the lines and "moments to shine" of each member, while theyre dancing, they have to sing, so some steps will be more relaxed or they'll have "breaks" between the steps of the choreo, because they must sing WHILE they dance and that requires something extra, which is to control your breathing.
9:28 they're not a dance group, if we're rounding it down to the simplest definition, they're singers. the choreo exists to compliment and accompany the song, not the other way around. center time in the choreo depends on who sings most
just like when she critiqued Mingyu for coming up to the front and just standing & then just walking off like I agree he needs to give more but it’s also bc they’re singers and need good camera shots (esp as he’s the visual of the group, his camera parts always seem to be more calm than the others)
@@silkbuttons9386the audacity
people be forgotting svt are singers with choreography enhancing their song, not the other way around.
Think you gotta start telling them that that they’re a kpop group not a dance team , members will come to the front or middle when their lines in the song comes up the “best” dancers of the group will not always be in the front
I don’t think she wants him at the front all the time just more than what she had seen which isn’t a crazy expectation as in most groups usually have main/lead dancers surrounding the center to enhance the choreo. Just because Hoshi’s not singing doesn’t mean he has to be at the back either right?
@@Koko3op I can some what agree to that , other groups are smaller compared to Seventeen, with usually 4 to 9 members so it would be better to keep the main dancers mostly up front , I think Seventeen has I think 13-14 members ? I think they wanna give each member some time in the front /center /middle and Hoshi didn’t have that many lines that’s probably why similar to Yuta in NCT 127
@@toddwilliams374 I agree with this. And also, as choreographies go, each position/travel has a reason right? It's not because they're keeping him at the back, it's just that maybe it's the easiest position for him to be at after a transition. Seventeen has 13 members so giving each good lines in the song or short spotlights in the choreo is just fair.
@@byeolie8855 yup that’s how it usually go with larger groups , they’ll always give members at least 1 time in the center during a spot or when their lines come up
@@Koko3op but not only hoshi is the main dancer
Bruh, they move out front to sing their part not to dance.
I used to love this channel but no hate these days they critisize for everything as usual. They are singers not dancer yet they do both, i understand both the reactors are dancers but thats not the pov here kpop groups consists of singing and dancing so i mean .....what else its the hosts mistake that he did not explain to reactors how it goes
Yeah. Just that extra information would help
Finally more SEVENTEEN, please show some of your friends their 'Killing Voice' performance too^^
Thank you for more SEVENTEEN my Kings. One thing I love about SEVENTEEN’s choreo, is they will incorporate sign language into the choreography such as in Home. Plus the choreography for Fallin’ Flower is so pretty to watch, especially when SEVENTEEN performs it Live.
If you are looking a beautiful performance of Fallin’ Flower then I would recommend their beautiful performances of KIDULT, Fallin’ Flower (Korean Version), and Fearless at the 2020 TMA Awards.
These would benefit greatly from some contextualization from you, specifically about the realities of how idol music gets produced, i.e. why it is the way it is, because otherwise you are also opening up guests for misinterpretation, sometimes even harassment; I know people have this misconception that "reactions" as a format need to be clean and pure, without preconceived notions, but you're trying to do something a little bit different here, bringing different, wider fields of knowledge into the conversation and exercising criticism, so I think providing your guests with a little bit of context is very important, particularly when it comes to the material conditions for idols on the ground. And I think the most important bit of information to direct people to, is that the goal of idolatry isn't producing culture or art; it's capital making use of culture by creating ideal models to follow, turning subjects into objects of affection that unfortunately court dehumanization via fetishization. It's profit. That's the bare minimum understanding required here to voice criticism that is actually helpful and doesn't further distort reality by creating expectations that cannot be fulfilled. There's tons of people who do reactions and who try to produce critical perspectives on works of popular culture, but end up reinforcing idolatry as a form of appreciation: ask yourself whether you really want the meritocracy that is alluded to in this culture, and who that would serve, and what that actually means. What merit and value even are in this context, and whether you share the dominant interpretations. And I think that's how a lot of guests have approached it: these people need to be taken down a peg, because their singing or dancing are not divine. They are human. Here are their flaws. And that's a great approach, at least initially, because it provides a productive alternative, even opposition to fan culture, which is the dominant mode of appreciation. But I think it's important to understand where those flaws come from as well, and why they're there, and why, perhaps, their current situation as idols is going to exacerbate these flaws rather than help them improve. This means asking what limitations and boundaries are involved, i.e. female idols' exercise regimens running into beauty standards and dietary fads seriously disturbing developing metabolisms, schedule overload leading to limitations of what a choreography looks like or whether someone is able to sing or not; how that cuts into practice time, etc. I think idols are not looked at like they're people, and even people who are critical of idolatry, which is a requirement for any thoughtful perspective, are often guilty of buying into that conception, because it provides them with a measuring stick to gauge a person's value; often, they still believe suffering is necessary to produce great art, and many of them believe the "final product" can be looked at in isolation from the process that produced it; I think those are conventions that should be abandoned as soon as possible.
this was incredibly profound and very true
Omg I’m so glad I just opened RUclips 😭, love the both of them and their reactions so real and honest
I think different people are in different places based on who is singing and who's not. Also, the choreo also has to cater to the fact that most of the time when they'll be singing and dancing at once~ Hence sometimes the person in the center might not do a bigger move or do a rather artistic move since they're also singing~ But still it all fits in!~
Always enjoy their reactions, and appreciate their honest thoughts
I would love to see them react to Adore U dance practice. SVT’s energy in it gives me energy. Mansae and Very Nice too.
Can’t wait for this video 😅😅😅😅😅
How fun to have CeCe and sister!
24H is a must watch
Seventeen are singers and dancers not a dance group so they all have parts and switches it’s not about who’s better and positioned where and it’s about the have all equal parts! 😊
Seventeen ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
i love when people who dance think they can criticize seventeen
Hello! Can you also show these two the lilili yabbay perf?
tbh people go crazy when people criticize legendary groups like seventeen or exo but i think its refreshing. we gotta know those men dont just hear their team singing their praises all the time, they gotta listen to negative feedback to keep improving and delivering the masterpieces we love. and its only fair that we as fans get to look at their art through the same lens, knowing any technical criticism they get doesnt make them bad artists. we all gotta take a collective chill pill and start uplifting brave constructive criticism instead of just going crazy over hate comments
Please react to the Seventeen performance unit song performances of Wave, Moonwalker, and I Don’t Understand But I Luv You!!
