if i’m being real, I do get a little salty when people don’t have positive opinions on seventeen. but when it’s from this channel I feel fine about it 😭 probably because the people have experience and their opinions are based on their knowledge rather than some random person who has never danced/sung in their life ripping into something that they don’t fully understand. Thank you for providing another amazing reaction 🤍

Haha I appreciate that but also even if didn’t have that knowledge his first time impressions are still valid cos he also had a lot of positive opinions there.

I love Woozi and I love the way he writes and produces his songs. One of my favorite things is how much his member mean to him and also how much Woozi means to the members. And to me that's all that matters. And of course their choreo is always on point.

It’s okay, music is subjective. No one is gonna like everything. As someone that loves pop music, I think it eats, but that’s just my opinion

When i watched minghao (the8) teaching “highlight” to his group on a chinese survival show he literally talked about how far apart they are supposed to be like down to the decimal which was just impressive to me. That they love and care about their performance so much that they know SPECIFICALLY how far apart they are supposed to be

halfway through the 24H dance practice and im not gonna bother finishing this reaction. it's fine if they dont like it. i dont like every song either. its just not fun when the reactor sits there with a bored look on their face and doesnt try to find something positive to say or point out about the dancing or a move they did... thats ok though. hopefully the next video will have better reactions. :)

I always think that what differ a kpop dancer and a dancer is the way they think about the performances. I mean the idols are a performer, they have to sing and act while dancing, that's why there are choreos that limit themselves and of course their choreo often base on the lyrics and the song theme. But a 'dancer' have more freedom to dance and be more invantive on their dancing. My opinion. No hates.

Hello Seungkwan WAS eating that choreo, thank you editorial notes! But also, I understand it's a less enjoyable experience when you're trying to keep studying the choreo/performance from a technical perspective and you don't enjoy the music. Obviously I'm a huge Carat, but it would be a total lie to say I haven't been checking out something new to me and been more or less waiting for the end of it as well. I appreciate that he was still trying and noticed things that he had positive commentary for even without connecting to the music there are things you can't deny about how well they execute their choreo!

Please watch some of their behind the scenes ...
There is one with Jeonghan counting beats because the movement starts behind him and he can't see the others.
They go through the same moves over and over and record themselves and view the videos together to make sure no one is off.

Omg! You should check out SVT's Dance Line performing "Moonwalker" ... that's a bit slower and fluid but with smooth choreo. Very MJ-esque.

6:30 this whole bit, I'm screaming bc HONESTLY I could never. This is why I'm fat now, I don't have the discipline for any of this lifestyle. Put me in the booth, give me a pen and paper yes but beyond that?? Nauuur thanks I'm all set. That choreo was insane, for them to be like, so much body?? As in there's so many ways for it to go wrong bc there's 13 of them but it doesn't. That's WILD.
Him mentioning Joe Jackson is perfect bc I stand by the opinion that kpop was built on them watching how America did it and pulling what works and what doesn't (like not giving them the freedom to go wild and ruin their careers) and proceeding from there. What Joe did worked but it had it's drawbacks bc MJ became whatever you want to consider him but he's also the greatest. 🤷🏿‍♂️
This vid was cute but I'm not super well-versed in SVT. When I see them I feel like I'm watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, there's so many ppl and so much going on 😆 but they've def got bangers, I'll give them that. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

I was a bit disappointed by the comment about making more "vibesy, Black-like" music, although I do not fault him for it. 90s K-pop was a whole different monster and there were so many instances of outright plagiarism or thoughtless appropriation from Black music. Producers and artists alike have made such long efforts to make original things without lifting it from other cultures. While it's history that many contemporary K-pop fans or reactors simply cannot know, I do wish more people were cognizant that there may be just such historical context to be considered. K-pop wasn't born in a vacuum: there were politics, economics, cultural events that shaped and influenced its evolution. I think it's sad to disregard such things even if unintentionally. No one needs to know the details to enjoy K-pop but I think it's important to keep in mind how little we know about another culture sometimes.

I think he would more enjoy Dino Danceology videos as they are more western songs covered by our Maknae. So music he'd more like (maybe) with ofc Dino and team choreography or covers. And on a multi stan basis he can view other dance covers by other groups like ateez pick it up cover or any of Lisa of Blackpink lilifilm videos these are so good. Those are just a few examples many more out there I'm sure hed enjoy hopefully. Just some suggestions because I understand kpop ain't the genre for everyone but tryna get him locked in on or favs one way of another heehee

I definitely get wishing you liked the music more cuz i struggle a bit with alot of seventeens music for sure. They have some good songs definitely but most of the reason im a fan is because of their performances and i enjoy some of their variety content. Its sucks bc i want to support more of their musical content but it can be kinda hard to when i dont really like it

Don't say you're a fan if you don't like their music.. you may not like all but a majority is more sincere to call yourself a fan. If you a fan of their content and GoSe, then you can stay a cubic (GoSe fandom name) which is still very much okay.
SVT is versatile and have done different sounds and music genres. But then again, their music is not for everyone as not everyone will love it. But the number that do are greatly appreciated and loved by them.
      Stay blessed.

    • @hotteokyeom

Agree with honie on this. I've been listening to Kpop for a long time and have definitely moved on from groups when their music begins to move a in direction that I don't really like. That's totally okay and it's reality.
Fandom behaviour these days have an all or nothing mindset, making everything a competition. But in all honesty, even if you're not really a fan you can still be here and have fun with carats. Good things are meant to be enjoyed.

    • @honie_aimh
      @honie_aimh 5 месяцев назад +5

@@hotteokyeom my point exactly.. the commenter and the comment is contradiction.. says" A LOT of their music I really don't like.... I'm only a fan because of their performance and SOME of their variety content" then you are not a fan, which is no biggie.
I'm a Carat and I Stan only Seventeen. I fell in love with their music and more in love into their personalities and rose in love with their music again. This doesn't mean I love every single one of their songs. There are a very few I skipped on purpose.
But I can't say am a fan if I struggle to enjoy their music but like their performance and content.. it doesn't make sense.
But then again, you don't have to be a fan, and it's OKAY.. but don't yourself a fan or A Carat. That's all am trying to say.
