In 2015 my son and DIL spent 6 weeks in Greece (staying at her sister's vacation home in a sweet fishing village) and then 4 more weeks traveling through Europe while my son worked remotely. They had an amazing time and I got to spend 3 weeks in Greece with them; it was amazing!! Have a BLAST on your trip!!!
Omigosh! We had to transfer in Frankfort on two occasions, and it takes forever to walk to the gates. Once Lufthansa fortunately held the plane for us. Unfortunately, our luggage didn't arrive at our Rome hotel for 2 days. The other time, my husband's carry-on was totally emptied by TSA. Best wishes for a safe & healthy trip of a lifetime!

I am literally sitting on a flight to Greece!! I paid $2,000 for Comfort+
Same plane the president flies -- but his has a slightly modified maintenance schedule. The entire plane is taken apart and put back together every six months to ensure every last light bulb, sensor, gauge and bolt are in perfect working order.
The pilots are the best of the best the Air Force has to offer. And of course his plane is kept in a secure area of a military base and swept for bombs and other devices before every flight.
All that said, even a typical commercial 747-8 is one of the safest passenger jets -- and Lufthansa is one of the most safety-conscious airlines -- in the world. No doubt you were in good hands.

That’s nice to take the family to Greece. What a nice trip to take. Woes! They do give you a or of food. I’m with you Wil not a drinker. Just soda like coke or Pepsi. Hope you all enjoy your trip there.

Well the price is great, but we don’t spend $4k-6k in cash within 3-6 months. Almost everything is automatically taken out of our checking account. It would be a huge hassle to call and stop the automatic payments from every business we deal with, and then set up the automatic payments in 3-6 months. Enjoy Europe!
Guys I’m really impressed and a little bit jealous too. I’m wondering did Covid-19 cause you guys to have to do anything extra to travel? Looking forward to the other blogs.

The thing that cured me of my fear of flying were flight apps like fight aware, flight radar, etc. Seeing the display of all those thousands of planes in the air at once -- each one getting to their destination perfectly fine day after day -- it really visualized for me how rare a crash is and how safe flying is.
It's a cliche, I know, but you are much more likely to die on your way to the airport than you are flying from it.
