My father was in the Arctic convoys to Russia. He managed to survive after his ship was sunk but saw many of his mates eaten by sharks.

My Great Grandfather served with the Merchant Navy throughout ww2 and sailed the Artic route on more than one occasion. He had volunteered at the age of 16 during the First World War and fought at The Somme. He was born before Humankind had taken to the skies and lived to see Man walk on the moon. He more than played his part throughout arguably the most destructive era in human civilization and witnessed the world becoming a truly global civilization. Luckily I have one memory of meeting him before he passed away.
My father tells a story that shortly after walking on the moon that my Great Grandfather knew it would only be a matter of time before humans would be truly exploring space and hoped that we didn't take The Good Book or others like it with us.

It’s a pity the credit cards they hand out to politicians, and the expense they claim for, aren’t put to public review. We would see how many times they get reviewed for for its passed. I’m not holding my breath.

Another great reason to say goodbye to the stinking Tories.
