"What does America call the veterans it loves so much.
Homeless"
Here because TikTok blew this up again and I’m a Army Vet. My eyes filled with tears in Anger…Anger for all my brothers and sisters throughout history that were treated unfairly and have dealt with pain no civilian could comprehend…I struggle every day. Most of us struggle everyday. But all the things he said is what’s imbedded in our head. Planted. Makes me wanna run through a brick wall and hit a PR at the gym. I love my brothers and sisters in Arms forever and always. HOAHHHHH!
All we got is each other. No one else gives a shit until its Veteran's Day, and then its a tidal wave of "Thank you for your service" and "here's some discounted stuff so we feel better about ourselves."
"You dont know pain until you know the remorse of survival." That one hit deep.
That line hit me in the very soul
It's all powerful but the last line hits me hard
That's the truth
I am ex-Navy. It's been a while, but damn did this hit home. Speak truth, Vets.. show those in power where the real power lies.
"Haven't you learned to adapt and overcome yet?" That line kills me. I've heard that my entire life growing up as a military brat. Most people don't show you the ugly side of the service.
Maaaan, he was speaking #bigFACTS. I'm an Army vet and this piece expresses exactly how most of us feel. "What do you call a soldier who's wife cheats on him while he's in a combat zone? A Suicide Risk". This one especially hit home, because on my 2nd tour to Iraq, my best friend put his weapon on burst (3 rounds per 1 trigger squeeze), put the muzzle in his mouth, and blew his head off for that very reason. I'm only 35yrs old and most don't understand.
Iraq 2010, 3 weeks before going home one of ours got the letter. Had to lock up his weapons just in case and always had to have someone with him.....shits messed up. Sorry for your loss.

This hit home. I can’t quit watching this. Between my own demons and some of my closest brothers and sisters that have the same issues and the ones that lost to the demons. This is so true and needs to be heard by everyone.

@@Gosimoka just that, basic training is where you are transformed from civilian to soldier, marine, airman, or sailor. But know that you will have some hard trials and tribulations so when you have that 1-2 min where a DS isn't in the room, you take 100% advantage to try and lift spirits but at the same time you are afraid to laugh because you laughing could mean your whole platoon or worse your whole company meeting down on the lines doing a nice little 2 hr workout or longer
