Thank you for all the info over the years Jonny. You’ve really helped my fishing game and been a big inspiration to my channel. Keep up the great content!
I love all your videos but having watched you struggle during the live stream and then see you come back and find the fish setup and catch them really does help demonstrate the normal struggles of fishing. I also appreciate your willingness to show possible failure and the persistent to show results. Keep up the great content.
I appreciate this video because he tells you it is not as easy as it looks. I kayak fish with Hobie PA14 and I never catch fish, and I am pretty discouraged. I don't have friends that fish or any family members, so it has been tough trying to learn to catch just one fish in months. I watch fishing videos but the videos only work if it is the same time of year, then the same time of day. Too many videos don't provide the specifics, but this guy does a good job, a really good job providing all the details, no assumptions so fishing dummies like me may get to learn something that I can use in my next fishing trip. If I sound down, I am but after listening to this video, I realize these guys really put in the hours without catching fish and really know their favorite fishing spots. I learned a lot in this one video. It never occured to me to fish an area and if it wasn't biting, come back to that same area just to see if the fish are there later in the day. I usually, just give up on that spot. Thanks for your information and being one of the best fisherman videos I've seen! I've been watching your videos for a few years, I actually stopped, unsubscribed because you made it look too easy and I just felt worse about fishing. I am back as a subscriber. I hope you understand, I was just feeling down on myself, you're a good teacher!!!!! Thank you!
Thanks Johnny! That was a great tip about seeing the bass on the rock pile in the afternoon vs what you saw in the AM and how it takes a trained eye to see them. I’m sure I’ve missed many opportunities. I will definitely be looking closer. Thanks for all the videos like this. They help a lot!!!
Finding out of the way ledge spots like that… now that we have electronic eyes down there, it is remarkable how much Buck Perry got right back in the day
I caught some the exact same way with my son for his first small mouth Thursday afternoon right off main channel break on Kentucky Lake right on top of a hump.
Cool to see you finally using Garmin for side, down & 2D now. Not just for LS. All brands are so good now hard to say any one of them is completely ahead of another.
I can’t remember exactly but I was 3-4 menus deep in the fishing chart settings. I think it’s under “Vessel.” I’m going to make a Garmin Tricks video soon that will show it
I like a Texas Rig when I’m fishing in less than 10ft of water and a magnum shaky head when I’m fishing deeper than 10ft. You can feel the shaky head better in deeper water, but I feel like I get better hook up ratios on the Texas rig so I will try to throw the Texas rig whenever possible.
I'm just starting to try offshore fishing and I have a question. Are there "resident" bass on offshore structure or is it more of being in the right place at the right time?
There are some resident fish, but my guess is 90% of the bass on offshore spots are only there for 4-6 weeks max. They will move based on their spawning cycle, the thermocline changing, and lake level fluctuations. I have a seminar on bass movement on my website, fishthemoment.com that would probably help a lot.
This is one of the best explanations I’ve seen on RUclips yet! Awesome video sir!

Ive learned just as much from Johnny as I have with some of the dinosaurs of the industry.
Maybe more honestly.
Who do you consider dinosaur's?
@@djmyslinski7613 Roland, Bill, etc. Probably Randy Blaukat too lol. I use that term with love, as I'm middle aged myself.

Great content for ledges. Really puts the morning stream into context to see the timing come out later in day.

My go-to channel for the juice ❤
Johnny you always put out great content!
Thanks Jonny! Great info as always.

Money, man you are the bass professor!
Best learning videos ever
Our ledges on Pickwick are just starting to get good now.
Glad to see you caught some that afternoon! Question about the Garmin unit...How do you get the ring around your boat on the map to show up?
I can’t remember exactly but I was 3-4 menus deep in the fishing chart settings. I think it’s under “Vessel.” I’m going to make a Garmin Tricks video soon that will show it
I was wondering the same thing.
Another fun day as a back seater in your boat! How do you decide between a magnum shakey jig head vs a TX rig when fishing the big 10" worms?
I like a Texas Rig when I’m fishing in less than 10ft of water and a magnum shaky head when I’m fishing deeper than 10ft.

Dude that specific spot is amazing I caught a 9.2 there last summer. Got a 4.88 and a 6.7 there last weekend while i was there for the big bass bash
Is your trolling motor ipilot, if so could you do a tutorial on how it works. Great videos. Thank you
After using all 3 brands. If you could only have 1 brand & 1 unit, which would they be??

i need you to come out with the Garmin settings. asap please.
Would you know why Randy Blaukat says to cut the weed guard parallel to the hook on jigs. Is it to help prevent from getting snagged?
I'm pretty sure it's to increase hook-up ratios when bass eat the jig.
Thank you so much for replying. You truly are a great person with a incredible amount of knowledge !!!!
Are you not using the mega 360 anymore ? Why not ? Not worth it lol?
I see you are running 1070khz on si and di.
That usually seems to cause issues for most people. That's strange.
👍👍👍👍👍
