There's nothing more beautiful than the sound of a cold international t444e turning over! And when it fires! You'll notice the difference between it and a 7.3 powerstroke. For some reason t444e always sounded metallic-like starting, idling. It just had its own characteristics to it.
I rode on that type of bus back when I was a toddler, in 1st grade, kindergarten, and high school (the last day for me was March 12, 2020, due to the pandemic)
I rode on conventional Carpenters growing up in Gwinnett County, GA but there was a sub driver who had a Thomas with an International engine. It was green on the inside.
Wow, this is very similar to my 25' 1986 International S1700 school bus. Its 1 window longer than yours, or I should say 1 window more. Operator station looks almost identical. I have a 6.9 idi in mine. The left box is not as fancy though. I do not have a tac lol. Other than that its almost the same! Same wheels too. I wish i had the crossing guard.
We have some school buses for sale here in Lubbock, Texas at Durham School Services which are owned by Lubbock Independent School District. There are 2 with lot numbers, one is a International & the other is a Freightliner & I took a picture today when I was at work of the international. Just thought I'd let you know.
That doesn’t look like a 2000 Thomas school bus it looks more like a 1993 Thomas school bus but it does say it’s a 2000 Thomas school bus so I can’t really complain. But the reason it looks like an early 90s Thomas school bus is by the old school rims and the old school steering wheel
I have a 1993 international 3800 series school bus Thomas built body dt360 engine with a spicer 5 speed it has hydralic brakes and it blew a line running to the back I need to pickup a line and repair it but i cant figure what size it is other than it could be 1/4 line with 7/16-28 fittings but to me that seems kinda small because it's such a big vehicle does anyone know?
@@TommyRetro at my school we ave 76 passenger IC buses and they are rated with 3 people to a seat plus 2 or 3 standing up in the back. its never that full but thats how it is rated
@DaReble. The way they’ve got it set up at our district is 3 for K-5 and 2 per person for grades 6-12 but let’s be honest here. A high schooler could have an entire seat to himself just be sitting sideways instead of forwards.
This baby has mad bass 🔊. Man this bus sounds 👍and healthy.
That's a beautiful sound when it starts up. Who else got chill bumps?

Always felt this was the coolest front grille that the Internationals had.
Me too, I really wish they still used it.
Love this bus especially the T444E (7.3L Powerstroke Diesel)
GOOD MORNING BEAST TOMMY Retro CANADA ONTARIO MISSISSAUG TRANSIT 🇨🇦🇨🇦🌿🍀🍀🍀🍀

Nice 3800 reminds me when I used to ride a bluebird international 3800 with a T444E sounds exactly like my bus to

My childhood school bus right here!!!!
I rode that type of bus in my first year of school (three grade levels before pre-k), Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and high school.
I rode on conventional Carpenters growing up in Gwinnett County, GA but there was a sub driver who had a Thomas with an International engine. It was green on the inside.
Just love those short school buses
This bus has the best motor sitting in it you could get
Good old Navistar international t444e!
This reminds me of my first time riding the bus in 1st grade. (2000 - 1 M.B.)
Same except I was 2-3 years before pre-K when I rode on it. It was also my very last bus I rode on before I graduated.
Damn, thats a little ass school bus

Man I'd run that lil bus up and down the Atlantic City Expressway all day and night if I could.
reminds me of the magic school bus size wise
Same for me
What bus sales place did you get your Thomas International? Or I might buy the Thomas from you
BusMaster81 I bough the International Thomas directly from Woodstock School District 300.
6:19 video is more important than safety lol
I saw one of these buses 5 years ago and I haven’t seen any since.
Why does some of the internationals have slow gauge sweeps and some have fast ones, I don’t understand
Maybe older or newer buses get their gauge sweeps affected.
They might have used different stepper motors in their gauges in later years
Add in a Ford B700 school bs to your collection with either Bluebird or Thomas Built Buses
We have one in our school district. Never rode the bus before but our bus number s #24.
This was a cool test drive.
Now that what I call a shorty school bus

Can you do another video like this and show us your hole fleet
i love the T444E
@project 29. My first school bus ride I remember was powered by a T444E engine. Now everything is powered by a Cummins thanks to the darn EPA!
Holy moly that IS SMALL
The wait to start light was still on when you
my kids go on buses
isa short bus!1!
that does look like the one from the magic school bus
The buses axel rems are different than most 2000 school buses
Reverse sounds like an 09 C2 in speed 0.5x
You need to ads a exterior light monitor
this bus is now 19 years old
MrNick 2005 Is the best youtuber ever it just hit 20 and I bet still kicking strong the t444es last forever

It doesn’t seem like that’ll fit 35 kids on that tiny little bus
charlie barnett I agree!!! It is rated for 3 students per seat... That doesn't work too well past elementary school! 🤣
