Good video & thanks for showing the city some love. As a Detroit native, some of the background info on the city is accurate but SOME is inaccurate. The water crisis is NOT in Detroit. They city has also made a financial come back since filing bankruptcy and has been gentrified tremendously in certain areas. The automotive industry IS still prominent here. There also also tons of wealthy black communities in DETROIT not just suburban areas. We know the media sheds a lot of negative light on us due to crime and past financial issues but don’t sleep on us ❤

I'm a white former rave kid, started going to Detroit warehouse/abandoned factory raves when I was 12, and ultimately ended up dealing for a SMB faction for a few years as they had a lock on the distribution at Detroit warehouse raves back in the late 2000's. A lot of the kids at these raves were from Grosse Pointe, the Bel-Air of Detroit, and SMB realized they'd make more profit if they had a crew of us white rave kids pushing their shit to the GP'ers instead of some black gangbangers. Definitely was an interesting time, especially as a teenager.

Detroit here 🙋🏽♀️ I’m gonna start with saying GOOD detailed video. HOWEVER, Detroit is NOT enormous! It’s has less then 700,000 people, which has WAY less citizens then any other “big city” in America. Secondly, it it NOT gang infested. 6 mile, 7 mile, and Plymouth have “street gangs” thats about it. Thirdly, Detroit has never had a problem with drinking water, it’s flint Michigan that has that problem, which is over 1 1/2 from Detroit. Fourth, some people stayed because this is there hometown, not because they were “to poor to leave!” Many southerners migrated here for automotive jobs, and remained here. Detroit is actually THRIVING with many new business, housing developments, and lots of jobs. The cost of living is not as much as most “big cities either.” Detroit is not POOR! Many people are choosing to live in Detroit VS. The suburbs because of how it’s thriving. The city went through bankruptcy over a decade ago, and has been back thriving since. I’m sure you went to Google for this video to gather formation, but actually reaching out to someone from Detroit would have given you WAY better facts about the city.
The road in Detroit, "Gratiot" is pronounced Grass-shit, but fast like 'grashit'. I grew up at 8 and Gratiot, but I was on the north(white) side, which wasn't is wild, but still pretty crazy in its own way, we had a lot in common.

Detroit here 🙋🏽♀️ I’m gonna start with saying GOOD detailed video. HOWEVER, Detroit is NOT enormous! It’s has less then 700,000 people, which has WAY less citizens then any other “big city” in America. Secondly, it it NOT gang infested. 6 mile, 7 mile, and Plymouth have “street gangs” thats about it. Thirdly, Detroit has never had a problem with drinking water, it’s flint Michigan that has that problem, which is over 1 1/2 from Detroit. Fourth, some people stayed because this is there hometown, not because they were “to poor to leave!” Many southerners migrated here for automotive jobs, and remained here. Detroit is actually THRIVING with many new business, housing developments, and lots of jobs. The cost of living is not as much as most “big cities either.” Detroit is not POOR! Many people are choosing to live in Detroit VS. The suburbs because of how it’s thriving. The city went through bankruptcy over a decade ago, and has been back thriving since. I’m sure you went to Google for this video to gather formation, but actually reaching out to someone from Detroit would have given you WAY better facts about the city.

The road in Detroit, "Gratiot" is pronounced Grass-shit, but fast like 'grashit'. I grew up at 8 and Gratiot, but I was on the north(white) side, which wasn't is wild, but still pretty crazy in its own way, we had a lot in common.
