Exactly , I am a little surprised that he descibes Wimbledon as a "nightmare" experience, he was great on ALL surfaces (maybe because of his loss against Mecir in 88 and 89 against McEnroe)
For a tennis lover - that athletic pose in the picture behind Stefan Edberg is one gorgeous sight. His utter athleticism is a true joy to watch.... and that serve, Oh My...
I was never a fan of Becker during his playing days; primarily because he often beat my favorite players (Lendl, Wlander and Edberg). However, he is fantastic in this podcast. So thoughtful in his responses and respectful of the other participants. I hope he is out of jail soon.
Wilander does have an accent and he will never lose that because he came to the USA as a "grown up" ca past the age of 14 15 years old ,depends some what. But when you live in a country for a long time and speak and have to do with every day life , your language becomes more and more similar to that countries , also your accent
3 absolute legends could listen to them for hours
pleasure listening to three legends
Wonderful !!! I love Stefan and Mats
Mats, you DID WIN Wimbledon Doubles in 1986 though. Great interview with three legends of the game from the golden years.

@@WONGLER Mats is just a really humble person who doesn't ever brag about his wins.
Wilander , when you count both single and double, won all 4 majors. Neither Borg McEnroe Lendl Becker or Edberg did this.
Great podcast. Becker was my favourite player but Edberg is also a class act.
80s/ early 90s greatest era !

Till today nobody’s game excites me as Becker’s
In the past tennis players looked like humans.
These guys won young with the first/new graphite rackets when the older gen were more used to wood..
The 'Big 3' of the late 80's! Well, chuck Lendl in there as well.. Big 4!
Becker so intelligent.
Yep, I met him once, a super-nice bloke☺
It is interesting that Stefan's accent is very similar to that of Kimi Räikkönen.
Mats has been living in the USA for such a long time and his american english is so good that sometimes I am forgetting that he is swedish haha
@@WONGLER Yes, he actually speaks like a native speaker.

The Adventures of Edberg, Wilander and Doughnut🍩
Did...did they ever do one with PETE?
Sweden played it smarter... much smarter😉
Becker certainly does not age as well as the other two.
It’s called divorce
@@willnill7946 No, it is drug and sex.
@@jliang70 sex ages a person?
