out of all the years ive played this game (and still do) ... not once have i ever looked into the glitches in it, my playthrough is a couple of hours, then i see a 15 minute speedrun randomly on youtube and i was amazed how broken it is haha

Did you beat Shang Tsung, Kintaro and Shao Kahn without the use of any mod? Like... just you and your hands? Because its just impressive how they don't even had a chance to make one single attack. I didn't even know it was really possible to do
I'd love if I was better. Only had 2 runs (with Liu Kang), PB is 3 hours. I will run with Kung Lao though in the future. Even though it is my favourite game, I don't think I am motivated enough to train. How long did you train till you "mastered" that Kung Lao "flying" glitch? Amazing run btw
I've been speedrunning this game for about a year. Learning Infini-kicks takes maybe a week of practice to get moderate at. If you want tutorials, I have a couple on my channel that can help you with the foundational tricks. Glad you enjoyed the run!

Bro how do you do this part 1:50 everytime I do it I fall out the map. I get behind the wall and close to it the blue marker and go through the wall behind the gate then fall out the map.
I actually have an updated strat you can find on one of my more recent runs. It's a lot easier than this one. The main trick is the timing of hitting X to exit. It is super tight. You also want to make sure you angle towards the top-left of the door marker when exiting from the bottom path. Hope that helps!
It's a trick called undermapping! By using an animation unique to Kung Lao (the air slam power attack) and some super precise movement we can get the floor to push us under it instead of back above it.
No cheats were used, and the speedrun is legit. Any% allows the use of out-of-bounds tricks which are able to be exploited on emulator and real hardware. If you prefer less exploited runs, I also have the world records in the purist categories.

I don't use any speed glitches or hacks. All of the techs and strats used are repeatable on Real Hardware. The timing is just super precise.
