Unnecessarily beautiful nutcracker out of solid brassI Dr. Hut of Handcraft - Развлечения
An absolute master piece. I live in apart of Asia where we don't have walnuts. But sure would like to have it like a decorative and functional piece of art to display.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful work. I would melt the chips down and make a casting of a walnut. A brass walnut to stand in for the real thing while the nutcracker sits on display.
That is an extremely cool idea! Have to figure out how to do that without a proper casting setup 😂 Thank you!
Always fun to watch!
Thank you!
I am fascinated by your work and this time a little hypnotized by the lathe. 😁🤪
😄😄😄 Thank you!
Beautiful. Brass and walnuts look great together. Happy holidays too 👍
Thank you! 😄
Oh, wow, gorgeous!
It also works very well to break the shell while keeping the meat whole. That's perhaps not important when eating nuts out of hand, but it is for certain candy recipes.
Thanks you for your comment!
Merry Christmas Brother, top work! ❤
❤️❤️
This was definitely a very interesting and creative idea to make for a nutcracker! Well done! Now you have a more efficient gadget to crack nuts during the holidays! 👏👏👏
😄😄 Thank you!
Nice nutcracker. Forge the chips back into a billet. Wouldn't require much heat. Good job.
Thank you!
We’ll see 🙂
Nice work
Thank you!
So beautiful...and it WORKS!!...thank you...dgp/uk
Thank you!
عجب چیزی،ایول، این برای ما ایرانیا که خیلی گردو خوریم عالیه،البته خبر ندارم اونجا هم خیلی مصرف دارن یا نه
😄🙏🏼
This nutcracker would be the ONLY reason for me to start eating nuts. (or opening them for the whole family 😅)
Absolutely great job ! Totally impressive !
😄😄😄
Thank you very much!
Felices fiestas
Thanks, for you too!
Hello mister you spend a lot of time but the finish product is amazing beautiful work professionally done
Thank you!
It's functional AND a work of art! 😍
Frohe Weihnachten, Herr Doktor! 🎄
🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you my friend 🙏🏼
Merry christmas 🎄🫶
Excellent idea. A helicoil for the upper threaded hole might be necessary in a year or two 😀
Thank you!
We’ll see 😄
Beautiful work as always.
Love how you cut the threads and used scotchbrite for that matt finish.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the brass shavings/chips.
Thank you mate!
I already have two ideas 😄
That is a superb creation. I love your videos! Can you try to obtain a small book press and restore it? I absolutely adore book presses.
Thank you so much!
I will watch out for a book press to restore! 🙂
@@DrHutOfHandcraft thank you so much much 🤗
Hermosa Linda Video ❤❤❤
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Stunning piece, dude! Beautiful work!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
And happy holidays!
Thank you so much!
You too!
Now that much better explains all the brass shavings. Beautiful. What a nice piece to have in your home. Do you think the brass threading will gall with repeated use since it will be under load? Maybe a stupid question.
Thank you once again, much appreciated!
No definitely not a stupid question. I think it depends on how much you use it, but all in all it shouldn’t wear of much because the pressure you need to crack a walnut isn’t that much. Maybe a little bit, but shouldn’t be that problematic
Perhaps a very light food based lubricant would help too. Anyways, great little item. If ever you wanted to make another and sell it, I’d certainly be interested. Have a happy holiday and an enjoyable New Year’s Eve if you don’t post between now and then.
@@BB_Chaptsick Hm yeah, maybe even grease, because that would kind of damp the pressure if you know what I mean.
But like I said I think the wear is negligible.
Thank you for your interest, I really appreciate it. But I think it would be too expensive, only the material cost quite some money, let alone the work haha
Perfect work.
I like it very much.
Could you buy this super good nutcracker somewhere?
You can still make tinsel out of the first one, i.e. the turning shavings. For a Christmas tree.
Many thanks for this tutorial.
Thank you, glad you like it!
Unfortunately it’s not for sale 😅
It was beautiful. I always wanted to know what iron chips are made of. Can it melt?
Thank you.
Well in this case it’s brass 😄
And yeah sure it can melt 🙂
💚💚💚💚💚
😊😊❤️

possible top part that touching a nut should not be fixed to the moving down rod
Why not?
@@DrHutOfHandcraft then nut will be cracked without rotation, possible faster
