1:47 As a Danzo Hater, I’ll say this. Danzo always did what he thought was best for *HIS* idea of what Konoha should be. He had a specific idea of what Konoha should be, and wanted to change the world so Konoha would have no choice but to be that. It was never Konoha he cared for, but his ideal Konoha.
I agree 100%. Nah he did care for konaha but he thought his version of konoha was what was best for konaha if he only cared for his version of konoha he wouldn't of killed himself to try to take down obito and Sasuke
@@shmirie666 Sasuke killed (off panel) a bunch of samurai while hunting Danzo. He also either killed or ordered the killing of a cloud ninja that was tracking them (J was his name I think), the guy who had the lizard. Also, he killed the lizard.
Danzo killing Kagami and stealing his Kotoamatsukami has always been my head canon, but I never connected it to Hanzo. Instead I was focused on him using it on Hiruzen and Orochimaru. What do you guys think, if Danzo has Kotoamatsukami then who do you think he used it on?
This has been addressed on this channel before. Nick's answer being that as we see at the Kage summit, a Byakugan can easily identify someone who is under Kotoamatsukami, which essentially makes it useless (or at the very least very risky) for Danzo to use on Hiruzen or anyone else in the Leaf, it's just way too likely that a Hyuga Clan member would notice at some point.
I just want to add another layer to the genjutsu theory. You said Hanzo went from being the most powerful to grasping for any power he could get.. Who do we know that has that same mindset? That's right! Danzo. I believe that just like most genjutsu users, he implanted his will into Hanzo as a sort of retaliation for the leaf taking him "lightly". Maybe in some way, by ruling the Rain through Hanzo, it felt like a test run for leading the Leaf, but it was not the real thing after all, which leads him to reenact this at a more opportune time at the 5 Kage summit, only to fail.. Again.
While this theory makes total sense and would add even more depth to his already sinister character, it's also possible that the bandage over Danzos eye was either a simple oversight on Kishimotos part or his eye was inexplicably damaged during any of the great Shinobi world wars. Either way, it still doesn't account for Hanzo's out of character change of heart.
Im probably one of the few who'd like to think Kagami willing gave Danzo one of his eyes before he passed away as, if I'm not mistaken, Kagami was Danzo's only other friend other than Hiruzen. Reflecting how Shisui gave his last eye to Itachi. Adds a tragic irony given how Danzo decides to use his eye to take his grandson's eye. But in my mind, Danzo and Kagami went on a mission that went south and as a result, Danzo go injured trying to protect Kagami, losing his right eye. Things weren't going much better and Kagami wound up sacrificing himself so Danzo could complete there mission, but not before giving Danzo his right Sharingan to repay him for saving his life. If I look at it from this lense, it further cements Danzo's mantra of Self-Sacrifice. Three people showed more conviction than he ever could for the village. Hiruzen stepped up and offered to make a diversion against the Kumo ANBU, Tobirama took Hiruzen's place, and in my own headcanon, Kagami did the exact same. That makes two of his best friends and his mentor were willing to lay there lives on the line for their nation and the mission. So for me, i prefer this as it gives more context to Danzo as a person.
Actually that brings an interesting question: Would Danzo be able to implant Shisui's eye(s) into Kagami's eye(s) would he be able to get EMS? Since those eyes are related etc. As well as me.
Tobirama was always going to give the title to Hiruzen. The only reason that he asked for a sacrifice was because he wanted the others to know that Hiruzen would be a good leader.
It’s so good to see the progress man I remember when you were first moving into this spot and shot the first few videos there it’s nice to see the progression of your surroundings as well as your overall success

Sorry this is unrelated but I've been wondering: Could the 'chakra disease' be a result of going along with a life that's not meant for you? I knida like that Danzo does basically fit right in with some of the other major villains in Naruto, in that ultimately his villain motivation is to achieve world peace in order to protect Konoha. It's just that his version of world piece is to do so through Hegemony, specifically a hegemony of Konoha over the rest of the world. After all, if Konoha has overwhelming power, that means it is safe from all threats. And naturally such a hegemony would need him at the top, because he's the only one with the guts to pull it off. In a way it is basically a philosophy of "The Strong Protect the Weak", taken to a logical extreme and corrupted by a lifetime of war.
If Kagami had Kotoamatsukami, it would also explain how some people supposedly knew that it required a 10 year cooldown. And it's possible because even Sasuke and Itachi BOTH have Amaterasu, so other Uchihas can also have similar or even sometimes the exact same Mangekyou abilities. It wouldn't surprise me if one or more Uchiha at some point in time also had Kamui.
Something I brought up in one of these previous videos, was the question of where Danzo saw Susano previously. Out of the powerful Uchiha we know of in Danzo's lifetime, he couldn't have seen Madara's as Madara said everyone who saw it was killed. It couldn't have been Itachi's because he didn't have it at the time. But when Danzo/Sasuke fought, Danzo said it had been a long time since he saw a Susano. This means there were some powerful Uchiha between Madara and Itachi's eras, and so some of them may have had Kotamatsukami.
If that's the case then sasuke dad would have a purer amaterasu example a a burning flame that never goes out and drains chakra from the target to amplify the flames. And if sarada awakenes hers her flames would heal/burn the target

I love this theory. It answers my question that just randomly popped up in my head and has been bugging me since and it closes one of the biggest gaps in character logic.
As a Danzo hater, Danzo was an absolute hypocrite. Especially in the Pain arc. This man says things like "I will do ANYTHING to protect the Leaf" to Sasuke. I wish Sasuke pressed him about what he was doing when Pain attacked. Where was this man? Where was he when Pain came knocking into Konoha and destroyed the village? And knowing Pain's motivation behind the attack - how Danzo was the main perpertrator responsible for the death of Yahiko. When the consequences of HIS actions came knocking on his door, he was hiding better than Tobi ever could in the Kamui dimension. I bet if Asuma asked Danzo "Who is the King?", his answer would be himself. I agree with NCHammer here. Danzo was just evil. Nothing righteous about this man. If only Tobirama let Danzo stay behind...
Hanzo was a really underrated character. He was powerful enough to go blow for blow with the worlds toughest Shinobi, protect his land, AND he has mercy to those that deserve it. Those are all traits of a good ruler, and he may have had some red marks on his time as leader of the Hidden Rain, but his village was basically the battlefield for World War 2 in NarutoVerse. There's not much you can do to protect ALL of your people when the worlds superpowers are using your home as their battlefield. But Kishimoto definitely had a cop out to write out Hanzo, someone that could defeat the Legendary Sanin by himself, would DEFINITELY be a powerful antagonist in the show. So instead of half heartedly writing a Hanzo arc, he simply wrote him off with Nagato killing him. As someone with the Six Paths of Pain and the Rinnegan is arguably one of the few people who could have believable killed Hanzo.
Play like standing back looking at it with a fully one of the more straightforward and logical theories that I've heard. Like it makes total sense. I'd always thought it was weird how Hanzo suddenly turned evil not evil birsay you know what I mean but just changed
Dude as soon as you posed the theory About 2 mins into the video I was asking myself how would Danzo have Shisui's Kotoamatsukami during the 2nd Great ninja war when based on the given timelines of the 2nd war and the Uchiha massacre is at least a 20 year gap if the data is correct (you know lore online can be iffy) there's no way it could be his but maybe his grandfather considering he had the bandage on during the 2nd Great ninja war. and seeing you realize the error in real time had me dying 😂 I love how candid you are with your channel most RUclips content creators would have just went with it and made a separate video saying they were wrong, you're the most honorable RUclips content creator out there ✊💯
Danzo going out of his way to the rain village and start that mess never sat well with me. They literally made Danzo simply the one to blame for everything so guys like Itachi, Obito and Nagato who were clearly wrong are not blamed by the fanbase. Nagato was the red haired orphan wielder of god's eyes as the Sage of Six paths being a myth already as per Jiraiya, how come he wasn't targeted by every single village ever during a warring state? Hanzo should've kidnapped him to use him as a weapon so his parallel with Naruto fit even more.
It bugs me that this also explains why Hiruzen kept Danzo or around. Danzo was doing bad stuff constantly. And if Danzo has Kagami's powers then he gets away with ALL the wild crap he does...
Nick I have a great video Idea! I thought of it when you said Hanzo was probably the strongest on earth at one time. But basically a video on every time there was a new “strongest on earth” title. Starting chronologically from kaguya making your way to Naruto. I think it would be interesting to see who was the GOAT for the longest and shortest as well as seeing how the power ceiling changes
Can you explain why most of the toads are giant when they grown up but Ma and Pa still small and clearly they're old. My theory is that they're frog not toad and only toad can grow into giant. Can you explain it further
I was always a little confused but just kinda took it at face value, because im more of a writer now than a theorist. The theory makes a lot of sense, and the weakening of his mind due to being in genjutsu could theoretically lesson his Chakra. Danzo could have then wanted... other guy- shisui... I remembered as I was writing... anyway, Danzo could have wanted a replacement for his eye due to it going dark, or because he didn't necessarily want his puppets to be weak. You don't want a weak gun just because someone could take it out of your hands, you want a strong one so it can be useful.
People who think Danzo was a “for the best” guy are weirdos and never go outside! Lmao. Danzo clearly wanted power! He wanted to be the man! That’s it! That’s all.
I truly believe this theory and honestly I feel ever since Hiruzen spoke up and became the Hokage, Danzo has always been obsessed with power and constantly been jealous of Hiruzen because he became Hokage on the fact that he spoke up before him although he was relieved that he didnt
3:20 - Mifune fought Hanzo to a stalemate, twice. Once when Hanzo had infinite stamina and chakra. Danzo didn't've Kotoamatsukami until *after* the Uchiha massacre. Long after the 3rd Great Shinobi War. 18:20 - No, it doesn't! He wouldn't want Shisui's eyes if he already had a pair that did the same thing.
hi Nick, i have been watching your videos on this channel and you weeb commender channel recently and was actually supposed to ask you to have a video about KAGAMI UCHIHA... thanks for this... more power to you
Is it possible that Kagame's mangekyo activated because of the escort mission Tobirama died in because his hokage gave his life for him and the village?
Kishimoto treats timelines like how Oda treats sizes. Fast and loose to make stuff look impressive and then everything falls apart when you put it to some scrutiny
Do you ever wonder why danzo wasn't brought back in the war and what do you think would happen if kabuto did bring him back. Not like his dna was hard to find or that he was weak... please read this and make a video. I love your what ifs and this has been on my mind for a long time
Plot twist: Kagami and Danzo had an Obito-Kakashi moment at the end of the war. Danzo talks about Kagami highly and even talks about how he saved him many times. Perhaps Kagami even knew of how his clan wasn’t entirely happy with Tobirama’s decisions. We know kagami was friends with third and Danzo, even aligned with Tobirama so I think his loyalty is probably more to the leaf rather than his clan. Something we know about Danzo was that he desired to protect Konoha at all costs. Madara and Hashirama clearly respect the Shimura clan and danzo’s father and grandfather died in battle (I’m pretty sure danzo’s age would imply his father died during the village days but don’t quote me on that). Since we don’t see many of his clan it stands to reason that they and Danzo believed that protection of the village was more important than they were. Or maybe I’m making Danzo out to be too nice lol
Maybe I am wrong. However, was Obito around Nagato during the time when Danzō was "plotting" against the Akatski. I mean, he was trying to convince Nagato to join him if I am not mistaken. And was the new recruit of the murdered when they (Nagato and Yahiko) tried to rescue Konan. When Yahiko died, it was much easier for Obito to convince Nagato to change the objectives of the group.
Nick, what's your theory on Himawari during the time skip? Will she train with Kawaki? Unlock new Beyakugon abilities? I think she's still on Boruto's side but... what if she wasn't?
@Moon_Menace Exactly! I have no idea if she is or not... Hima loves Boruto so she could possibly be immune and train with Kawaki, or train with Kawaki to get close and strike when Boruto needs it.

That would be badass to be honest. Imagine Danzo with Rinnegan and Shisui's Sharingan Eye.
He'd clap Itachi in a fight.
Love the rock music in the intro!!!
Definitely the theory. It makes more sense and sounds cooler
Little does he know, it was Kagami who put Danzo in a genjustu this whole time to turn Danzo into a villain. For what reason, we will never know.
if were honest everyone would act most likely like danzo and do anything to protect something precious for him
Danzō became very weary of the Sharingan after Kagami saved him many times.
Frankly, the head cannon here is heavy, but the logic and entertainment is HEAVY! Very, very well done and all within lore
Awesome theory, I love this channel. Hope the move goes smoothly. 😊
Fantastic theory! Very well thought out. I'm convinced
13 mins into this vid, dude has a Deku rant moment 😂😂😂
I go with your theory all the way. Makes too much sense.
So many good points. Had me wondering when the What If Yahiko Didn't Die?-video gonna come out?
Play like standing back looking at it with a fully one of the more straightforward and logical theories that I've heard. Like it makes total sense. I'd always thought it was weird how Hanzo suddenly turned evil not evil birsay you know what I mean but just changed
Next video we'll discuss what if kagami got the hokage and danzo launched a coup
DANZO's motivation is for KONOHA to be the only absolute power in the shinobi world... by any means necessary
It bugs me that this also explains why Hiruzen kept Danzo or around. Danzo was doing bad stuff constantly. And if Danzo has Kagami's powers then he gets away with ALL the wild crap he does...
One of your best theories fr !
Rumor has it that Danzō also plotted Hiruzen's death in Part 1.
Pretty sure he has plotted Hiruzen more times than that hahahaha
He was the best guy around…. WHAT MURDAAAA??
Not really a rumor. When it's fact. Just look up kanoe hanzo root mission on hiruzen
This is why the 3rd Hokage is one of the worst to me he couldn't control Danzo and he couldn't control Orochimaru
Best naruto talker!❤
That’s it! That’s all.
That's the thing that made in the majority of the good villains good was that all of them were relatable
In the first 3 minutes and from the title, I already knew what the whole video would be about. I know Nick so well.
Tbf Danzo apparently did so much background shit in Konoha that I’m surprised the village works without him
I truly believe this theory and honestly I feel ever since Hiruzen spoke up and became the Hokage,
Danzo has always been obsessed with power and constantly been jealous of Hiruzen because he became Hokage on the fact that he spoke up before him although he was relieved that he didnt
When you realize that this man is helping to keep Naruto alive while that air that lame axx Boruto
hi Nick, i have been watching your videos on this channel and you weeb commender channel recently and was actually supposed to ask you to have a video about KAGAMI UCHIHA... thanks for this... more power to you
Is it possible that Kagame's mangekyo activated because of the escort mission Tobirama died in because his hokage gave his life for him and the village?
Danzo would be there to witness it and be able to piece it together that his eyes were special even among Uchiha.
Awesome video and theory
Yo this popped up on my recommended 52 seconds ago that's pretty dope
Crazy how you switched it up 😂😂
Kishimoto treats timelines like how Oda treats sizes.
I love your what ifs and this has been on my mind for a long time
2:00 Well he didn't know that he would end up forming Akatsuki. And honestly there would have been no Akatsuki if Nagato didn't have Rinnegan.
I almost had a stroke up until about 15 min in. Also nice theory, fairly unlikely, but still cool AF.
This actusly an awesome theory
Welp. This is definitely my head canon now. This answer is so satisfying.
I like this theory a lot. It actually makes a lot of sense.
Danzo came from a time when many villages survived from from playing dirty as that was just the rules. As times changed he didn't.
Danzo only cares about himself. Gain power and control.
Another banger.
Been wondering what happened to those statues! I like this theory more than the plot device. Makes too much sense from Danzō
Bro opened the video talking like he was doflamingo😂😂😂
Im confused on that. Wasn’t himawari also affected by omnipotence? I mean i know sarada and sumire aren’t but I’m pretty sure that himawari is
I think she'll some how find an evolution of the beyakugon
hima would probably awaken the tenseigan and get on daemon level and I predict she is on boruto side
@Moon_Menace
Exactly!
I have no idea if she is or not...
Hima loves Boruto so she could possibly be immune and train with Kawaki, or train with Kawaki to get close and strike when Boruto needs it.
But... Wouldn't Nagato be able to see the genjutsu controlling Hanzo ?
Ik this is a comment for weeb commander but when are you getting down on jjba I’d love your take on it’s ideas and it would be a good way to flex your smarts cause stand powers can cause headaches in even the greatest jojologists😂
