Sadly it seems that this small coastal town of Fairbourne in North Wales is doomed!

I'm here for the drone footage 🙌
    Great views of wales.
I've added your channel, always good to connect with other drone pilots.

I live in Fairbourne. Gwynedd council know nothing about plans to sacrifice the village to the sea. The 2045 plan isn't happening. It was bogus.

As well as it being against our human rights, so would be illegal.
Gwynedd Council have much to answer for. There aught to be a public inquiry. And a huge public apology.

Thanks for a lovely reminder of several trips made in my youth to Min-y-don Cristian youth camp at Arthog in the early 60’s m. Crossed the Barmouth bridge on foot. Beautiful scenery.😊

Enjoyed the video.I have been everywhere around Barmouth & Fairbourne but never as far as the ferry station.I shall make a point of walking to it next time we are there. Take no notice of some of the idiots in the comment section, they probably don't stray far from their desk so have no idea of whats actually going on in the REAL world. I have seen the damage caused in Fairbourne by the odd high tide and they are becoming more frequent...even in Barmouth and a few other places along the Welsh coast.

Funny how much of Holland is reclaimed from the sea. I lived for some years in the Lincolnshire fens and it has a high proportion of families who migrated from Holland many, many years ago. Much of the land is below sea level but embankments have been built to keep the fens safe.
Perhaps the local authorities should make a visit to the fens to see how Fairbourne can be protected.
There are many areas in Britain where land can be protected or reclaimed. Sadly we have to deal with braindead environmentalists who always preach doom and gloom. They also never mention the many towns and villages in Britain which were once ports and are now several miles inland. Oh, sorry! That goes against the disaster and anthropogenic climate change B/S.

CDN AND THE HEARTLAND INSTITUTE ARE A GOOD START BUT THERE ARE MANY OTHER INSTITUTIONS. Or perhaps you can explain why current average temperatures are below 1930s levels, or the fact that we are just emerging from a recent mini ice age. I THOUGHT NOT!

Nice tour of the area Andrew, shame about that little community. Sadly this is a familiar story in so many low lying regions around the globe! but nice scenery & videoing all the same. Have you been operating the drone for long? I have had a go with a friends & probably will get one soon. Your editing/smooth transition between bits of video looks very good. Oh no another hobby coming up lol

Yes get one! Any DJI Drone is good. In these clips I was using the Mavic Pro but when there are people about you need a sub 250g drone! I've been utilising my drones now for about 3 years I guess. The footage adds a new dimension to a RUclips Video I think?

    Hi Andrew,
What a beautiful place, some lovely drone footage.
It's frightening to think that the sea levels will rise so much that Fairbourne will no longer exist. It's only a few years away and that's just the start...🤔

They’ve been debunked time and again.
You mean the videos where they selectively highlight places with other things at play affecting the levels whilst completely ignoring the global figures?
It’s the equivalent of that Australian who used to show the drop in climate temps on a zoomed in graph that did actually show a drop, until you zoomed out and saw it was a tiny dip in an overall much larger rise.
