The concept for Blue Lock is immensely different than what I expected, as much as I loved Kuroko Basketball showcase in individuality turning to teamwork, a anime based on primarily ego whilst needing to work as a team was an idea I could never see executed in an optimised way especially under a highschool setting. I’m so glad I found this series because watching, reading making videos on it have been amazing.
The best part about isagi’s direct shot is that it was even foreshadowed in the first episode, when bachata passed the ball to him and he direct shot it into his face

That Chigiri moment really got me. I too was a footballer until I got herniated discs in my lumbar region. Now, after 8 years and many set backs, I still want to get back to playing football like I used to. The way Chigiri broke the metaphotical shackles of his injury just hit me in the feels man.
